Jewel

Soft, silky air
Snow white ground
The noises are quieting down
Only my soft panting sound

My fingers are going numb
My lips turning to blue
My black hair staining the snow floor
I once was a jewel

Cold, cold, cold
Can it get any colder?
I feel life slowly slipping
Every second I'm getting older

The smoky wisps of my breath
The numb feelings in me
I feel I am slipping
Soon going to leave

My fingers are going numb
My lips turning to blue
My black hair staining the snow floor
Oh, I once was a jewel

Finally, there's the light
Beckoning me
Has it ever been so bright?
No, no I think not

My fingers are going numb
My lips turning to blue
My black hair staining the snow floor
Oh, I once was a jewel

Oh, yes I once was a jewel
A pretty little thing
Delicate as can be
Now the cold has made me a fool

No longer a jewel
Just an angel...
