The light in my eyes from the reflection of yours has changed
To see your head hung in defeat from this act you have staged
You had it all planned it was perfectly written
You sat back and watched as they pulled away the curtain
The lines went on and on as anticipation rose
The crowd went wild, the reaction you were hoping for, though they never knew it was a pose
As the climax slowly faded
Guilt gripped you inside but you continued to show the feelings you had so long imitated
The last act was now on stage
guilt had bared you like a cage
This web of lies you've weaved just so
The precise threadwork that you sow
Until finally you broke loose
pulled out of the deadly noose
You trampled through the play
A confession you could no longer delay
You un-webbed the lies
Unknotted all the ties
Broke yourself, your pride
All i can do now is pray for the strength to stay by your side
Though you hurt me
I will keep the light in my eyes so you will see
And your eyes will be filled once more
With the light that my eyes store
