Katey was a girl

Just like any other

She had a stable home

And one of those

Plastic housewife mothers

She lived on the block

With most of her classmates

She felt surrounded

By all the people she hates

See Katey was psychotic

She was plagued

By the voices as she called it

She was made

To do things

That she can’t profit

But instead of finding help

She just stuck these voices in her closet.

Katey went to school

Just like any other

She was dropped of

At the gates

By her mother

Always early

Her mother guaranteed

But it wasn’t time

That was the factor

That katey did need

Now lets go back

Back into the past

Back when Katey was a little girl

At the time this spell was cast

Katey had a crush

The first one in her entire life

She would carve their names

In a tree with her brother’s pocket knife.

Katey was in a daze

So young so foolish

By this love she craved

She plunked up the courage

“Yes I can do this”

She told her self

She don’t want no one else

She kept dreaming of his face

Staring at him

Thinking

“Could he tell?”

Katey went to school

One morning with hope in her heart

She was in junior high

So she kissed her mother

As she depart

Out the car

Into the thresh hold of the building

Smile on her face

Thinking this only the beginning

She was right

It surely was

The beginning

Of the thing she would become

Of the monster

That would create inside

Of the secrets

She would devote her life to hide

Katey had a best friend

Called Megan

The pretty one

Out of the two

Katey surely was second

Anyway katey told Megan

About her crush

Megan had a crush too

They talk about it together

And such and such

They word spread

As that’s how it worked back then in school

There secret crushes were out

It was being talked about around the school

The girls weren’t worried

They didn’t care

The girls weren’t bothered

By how the people would stare

It was around lunch time

The kids were out

But Katey couldn’t find Megan

She walked all about

Katey came to a corner

She heard voices round the bend

She stepped back

Then stood still so she could listen in

It was her crush

Leaning against the wall

He was with his friends

There was laughing

Jokes and all

Then she hear them say

They said her name

Katey froze in shock

She couldn’t bare the shame

The friends asked

“So are you gonna go for this girl?”

“Nah man you crazy?”

The boy pretended to hurl

“Why would I ever go for some one so fat and lazy”

The boys all laugh

Each voice pierced Katey’s ears

She still stood there

Listening to all the words that did appear

She heard

“fat”

“ugly”

“pathetic”

“lame”

Each single word said

Brought her so much pain

She then paced to the bathroom

Out of the fear that she would cry

But surprisingly

No tears came to Katey’s eyes

On the way

She bumped right into Megan

“Katey you won’t believe what just happened!”

It turned out

Megan’s crush had a thing for her too

Katey just shrugged her shoulders

“Utter the words who knew”

Katey tried to be happy for her

But the words still stung in her heart

Even after they were hours apart

See Katey was one of those little chubby kids

The kind that they wouldn’t pick for their team if they wanted to win

She was the kind that got no attention from the boys

The kind that would sit and watch

As the others played and made noise

Katey had a whole bunch of insecurities

Covered up by her mother vain priorities

Her mother would always nag on her weight

The nagging built up until it formed to hate

Katey didn’t kiss her mother goodbye no more

Katey didn’t even talk to her mother unless she swore

See Katey held so much resentment

This what probably brought on

The Commandment

See the voices took control

Every time she needed to console

The voices would take change

In her twisted mind they would barge

Take things and rearrange

She took her brothers pocket knife

The one she used the carve there names

She placed the blade slowly down

On the flesh that felt no pain

The words were pulsing inside

Still moving through her blood

She needed to get them out

Unsure if she could

The voices told her do it

She could do nothing but obey

The knife against her skin

Was the only way she could convey

That’s how the monster started

How it all came to life

HowKatey got addicted

To the cut of her brothers knife...
