Disco Pigs
Based on the '01 film, this poem is about Pig and Runt's relationship, showcasing when they make love on the beach and finally when she suffocates him, setting them both free. What a beautiful and underrated film, check it out! "And, you know, the sun, it really is a big beautiful shining thing."But the pals knew of a place where they could hide
Their castle where they wished to remain forever side by side
Pig and Runt, King and Queen, oh so happy inside
|
Then one day the beautiful girl, she cried
She felt the breeze and wanted to go for a ride
Spotting the wonder all around, her eyes were wide
Pig fell down next to Runt on which he'd long relied
|
He fell into her, drowning in love by the seaside
While breaking down the rules to which they'd complied
Two became one physically while their bonds slowly untied
Then at last he fell behind as she spread her wings to glide
|
While taking in every thing he'd ever denied
He took a deep breath, then brokenly sighed
"Young girls they have to fly," to it's sound she replied
He realised that their womb and the real world had to collide
|
Morning came and their chains had one last step to break and subside
She muffled his anguish with all the love she could provide
He lay there covered, beautiful, pale, limp and blue-eyed
As her spirit was pulled away to a new life by the Cross Haven tide
