Clear Your Mind.There's a lot to sink into in middle school.
I wish someone would have told him that; and that he would've listened.
Sitting in that bright white room, uncomfortable in his seat;
Stuffed animals looking child-like, but him feeling even more so.
Everything is scaring him, but mostly the adults.
They don't even scan his face, don't even try to read his thoughts.
And of course, it is not justifiable why he feels this way;
He's lost, but not without hope, somewhere far away.
"Just clear your mind," the counselor says.
'But how am I supposed to do that with a noose around my neck?'
"Just clear your mind," a girl in his ear says.
'But how could I to do that when I'll never get you back?'
"Just clear your mind," my own Mother says to me.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
But how could I be so cruel as to do that, when my friend is sinking in?
