A Soldiers Breath
The War Wasn't Wanted
At Least Not By Him
Because He Knew He Wouldn't Live
To See This Hell's End
When He Fell Asleep At Night
It Was His Family That He Saw
The People That He Loved
The Ones He Won't See At All
A Soldiers Breath Was Shortened
By The Barrel Of A Gun
Now He'll Never Get To See Again
The Women He Called "Hun"
She Stayed Home To Cry
When She Heared The News
But She Tried To Keep Alive
But Now She Cared About Few
His Teenage Daughter Took The Blade
And Put It To Her Wrist
His Adult Son Rolled Up His Hand
And Punched The Wall With His Fist
A Soldiers Breath Was Shortend
Before He Saw His Children Grow Old
Now His Daughter Killed Herself
Now His Story Can't Be Told
