Hey,
It’s just me.
The girl standing behind one of your friends,
who is the black sheep of the flock,
who’s too shy to say hi,
whose parents can’t afford to pay for a cool cell phone, a laptop, or brand name clothing,
who has suckish days,
who feels awkward, and out of place,
who gets jealous,
who is small, and short,
who isn’t athletically inclined,
who doesn’t have guys hitting on her all the time,
who gets blemishes and colds, like normal people, only in the wrong time and place,
who is stubborn,
who has no clue how to put makeup on properly,
who is decent looking, but not drop dead gorgeous,
who has small group of tight, best friends,
who loves to laugh and have fun,
who has a backbone, and won’t go down without a fight,
who is smart, but not nerdy,
who’s very nice, and reliable,
who can make you laugh when you’re sad,
who will stand by you if you’re in trouble,
who will make a unforgettable friend, if you give her a chance.
Someone may not look pretty, have the best cell or clothes, or fit in, but that doesn’t mean they are any less of a person than someone with these things.
There are many layers to a person.
People can be beautiful on the inside.
Looks can be deceiving. Open up, and give people a chance.
Black sheep can have a place in the flock.
You just need to let them.
