Tick away
my watch face
You bleed numbers
and I leak
embers
My lungs of fire
polluting your lips
and massacring
your young eyes
Take these
caresses
lightly
I never stay
among the sunshine
You’ll find me
again
in a garden of weeds
We’ll meet in
the lion’s
den
Where I play with
knives for
your entertainment
You entertain my
burning fingertips
Never seeing beyond
the ink
I print
My watch face
says goodbye
and I leak
to you the
November sky
