Lane of Escape

I like to run because it's my alternative to self harm. I never know why I cut so figured probably just endorphins... joined cross country and fell in love with "runners high". Now I crave exercise nonstop XD only problem is people don't get why and I push myself to the point of TOO much physical pain (possible injuries)...Anyways One evening/ night I was running and I had these beautiful lines in my mind that I kept repeating them to myself anyways I attempted recreate them as best as I could.

Running deep into the evening blue.

Until the stars illuminate the path I move.

Every step I run is the stronger I get.

Every drop of sweat is the reward I want.

Every tear I shed showing all the relief I need.

My heart beat matching my pounding feet.

My body screams in agony, but my heart screams free.

Endorphinaholic to the extreme.

They question my abilities.

They wonder why?

They don't get the scars on my thighs fade away with every high.

Every second in this world, my zone, is the difference between life and death.
