You Were The One
You were the one who made my life soar
I didn't get a chance to tell you that
I guess I didn't notice before
You were the one who kissed away my tears
I didn't get a chance to tell you that either
I realized that but didn't tell you for all those years
My eyes begin to sting as I write this
This poem of truth, sadness, death, and sorrow
You are someone who no longer exists
You were the one who held me close and whispered in my ear
"I love you, I'll always be with you"
Well now since your dead, I guess that's how it may appear
You were the one who lent me a hand when the waves crashed over me
In the ocean, and the water got to deep
You pulled me up and helped me see
I feel lonely and sad as I remember you
Are you in heaven? Do You still exists?
I wish I knew
You were the one who made me feel happy
Happy, excited, and lively
But now that you're gone, I see how my life really is crappy
You were the one who wished me a real happy birthday
Told me how bright my future would be
But now my future is nothing, death has taken you away
Now you're dead, and I'm alive
And I'm beginning to think that without You
I will never survive
