Quiet confessions,
each spoken as an assassination attempt in the dark.
Hisses and whispers,
spoken with a smile.
You open your mouth
and
_____you
L
______I
__________E

like you mean it.

Over and under, flowing streams of thought

through my mind.

A darkness like silk drapes across my eyes,
like the soft blackness of endless night.
Tears like falling stars burn down my cheeks and you
Lie
____to
_______me

again.

How many times before your truth is completely drowned?

One word, a brand.
One lie, a bandage.
One truth, a cry.

Carnivorous
Anger
Never
Cures
Everyone's
Regret.

You should have told me the truth...
about your cancer.
