My Life is Music

I have always had a passion for classical music so I decided to write a poem featuring musical instruments. I think this is one of my better written poems and I hope you all like it!

My life is music,
Rhythms’ my soul,
The conductors’ my brain
telling me where to go.

My voice is like a clarinet,
Breezy, soft and mellow.
My breath is slow and steady,
Like the playing of a cello.

My mind is like an alto sax,
Wild, free and strong.
My thoughts compare to a trombone,
Both deep and hard and long.

A flute describes my emotions,
High and joyful, low and sad.
My anger is a tuba,
Playing bold, and full and mad.

My conscience is an oboe,
Fluttering to and fro.
My heart is like that bass drum beat,
Pulsing where ever I may go.

Whether it is a smooth classical day,
Or one of cold hard rock and roll,
My life is music,
Rhythms’ my soul.
