Comfort in the Smallest Places
I'm here to lend an ear to the lips that don't want to speak,
Give advice to those who claim they don't need help,
Be a shoulder to cry on when they won't shed a tear,
And just exist when I'm not needed.
You'd rather cry in your room than let me be there for you.
Are you afraid?
What is there to even be afraid of?
I question each of your actions.
You're out to hurt me,
Or at least that's how each day goes.
I'd rather take the blame than see you upset.
When the world is out to get you,
Just take out your frustrations,
Cool off,
Even if I have to be the one to get blow off and blown up on.
I don't mind.
I'd rather see you smile.
Laugh at me,
Not with me.
What ever will get your mind off the down side of life.
Because like I said,
I'm here for you,
Even when you don't want me to be.
