World Comes Crashing

I'll put on a smile
To make you think that I am happy
But when you're gone
I'll let these feelings show
Won't let you know that I am hurting
Lessons gone, but I'm still learning
Love is so much harder than it seemed

What do you do
When the world comes crashing on your head?
What do you say
When all you want to do is forget?
Why does it hurt
So much that I wish I could be dead?
This blackened rose
Has pierced me to the depths of my heart

So now I shout
"This can't be happening to me
My world cannot be crashing down"
But finally
Reluctant eyes can see
The wreckage lying all around
