As I stand out here on this cheerful, breezy spring day and watch the birds, I can't help the envy and jealousy that erupts from within me.
'Why?' I think to myself, 'Why weren't humans born with wings? Why must we be tortured like this? It's just not fair!'
'The birds have no burdens to shackle them, to ground them, to condemn them even!'
'So why God? Why did you have to punish the future generations like me and many others like me for the mistakes the humans in the past have done?'
'Oh how I long for wings of my own! Any kind will do so long as they will hold my weight and take me anywhere my heart desires.'
'But no, neither myself nor any other human could get that lucky. It was then and there that I realized that I, along with the whole human race, will be forever chained to this wretched planet we call home. Never to escape and never to be free.'
