as the pain came through again;
it let us bleed in rememberance,
then stopped and left again.
It is always there, the fear we cannot name;
the pain, the lies, the broken trusts,
the buildings falling in flame.
I can still remember the day my teacher cried,
in front of the class,
she tried so hard not to lie.
The shock that shook the world that day
was something I could not yet understand,
yet as I sit here writing this, I feel I can.
They made us fear for our country,
they made us fear for our lives;
sometimes I still sit and wonder why the sun will rise.
It pains us so much to remember;
it hurts so much to talk,
but rememberance is how we honor them
and we owe them what they lost.
So you sit still and remember,
as the world still asks the question, 'Why?'
You sit still and remember all the shredded lives.
The sun still goes on rising,
and the Earth still turns around,
but living here,
trapped in fear,
is still a duty bound.
So let us go on remembering all those that were lost,
we want you to know we love you,
and still you visit us in talks.
The world cannot forget you,
and neither will our hearts,
so let us sit still and remember you,
as you were, with memories unblocked.
We Remember- 9/11/2001
...
That's all; it's in my journal too.
