Saying goodbye to a man that will never be

Date Written: 2/6/08 In and out of my life all these years How I cried so many tears Reaching out for love That makes me a broken dove A void so empty and sad From a fucked up dad Who points fingers Which always lingers Far from a real man Gave birth and ran All I ever wanted Was for things to be ungaunted Someone to be emotionally there Instead it's unfair I should be number one But to you I'm a shun Tired of hoping for something that will never be Simply crushing me So I sever the ties After so many tries A decision to live with Forced to pith No turning back now Dealing with the avow Copyright GothicAngelGirl (Tiffany R.B.)

This is a poem about severing the ties with my father who can't seem to be a real man. I feel sorry for those who are going through something similiar with a father who can't step up to the plate and take responsibility.
