Theatre de Deceased

Welcome! Welcome to my theatre! Please, please, get on the stage,
Here's the script, Oh allow me to turn you to the right page,
Now your lines begin here, I am afraid you may have to improvise,
The ending hasn't yet been decided upon or devised,
I hope you will agree that a good performance rests on chance,
The Divine comedy and equally Divine tragedy have a certain balance,
Over-do one and the other is killed, lost, quite dead, still-born,
Like acting, a melodramma can make a script quite worn,
So yes, back to the play.
You are to be Prince Rannat, a decadent and charming man,
Pleasing to the eye though he would steal from his own gran,
Evil, oh quite evil but he should be played in a delicate way,
So! Shall we take it from the top? What do you say?
Good, Good, add more haste to that last line, more movement,
Bow to theaudience, blow kisses to them, after all you are a gent,
Now.You will notice the new character, a pretty young thing,
But all in rags, poor she is, her only possession is a golden ring,
A promise if you will.
You see he told her he loved her, though she was just a toy,
To him she was just some girl and he was just a curious boy,
Butthough she was poor she was pure and would do right,
She told himshe would only become his on their wedding night,
So he, being incorrigable, gave her a ring of solid gold, a church, a priest,
But it was a spoof a trap, the papers unofficial, the clergy an actor at least,
But she didn't notice astheroom fell crashing down, blinded by love,
Until he reveiled it once he took her innocence, killing a dove,
But she didn't die.
What is wrong dearSir? Are you sure that you are alright?
It's just your hand trembles and your face has gone pearly white,
Well sit you down, Sit! and I will tell you the rest of the play,
You see the girl vowed she would take her revengeone distant day,
And so she sat with angry tears in her eyes, planning, andplotting,

Scribbling down ideas even diagrams and more jotting,

Wellto cut a long, long, long story short she lured the Princefrom the palace,

To an empty building where lights all around created a regular boreallis!

Well, lets skip to the last scene. See for yourself.
Could you stop trembling? It ismaking it difficult to hear the words,
Now inthat line aboutyour love of pretty women could you emphasize the'birds,'
Now when you say that, I thinkyou should throw yourself at the girls, my, feet,
Confess more emotionally how you lie how you decieve, how you cheat,
It is, what got you into this mess was it not?
Wait a second, I just need to go fetch a prop, a gun with one shot,
"Any last words?"the girl would say, and you will tell her she was the one,
Well...go on, your audience will be waiting, the performance is almostdone,
SAY ITYOU BASTARD! SAY IT!
You stole my life from me, now you propose, ha! You will stealmy victory!
This is a work of art, my blood written play, my own story,
Get up! On your feet. Now look me in the eyes and say,
The lines, 'Youwere the one, I would die for you,' com'on, its only a play,
Though I like the sobbing, it adds to the characters desperation, it may apaul,
But say the words! Like it or not the curtain must fall,
Oh come, did you not recognise me? Wonder why it was you who was hired?
Well an actor whowill only act in reality must be fired,
I shot the gun.
Now that you are silenced it's time forthe 'girls' parting speach,
Now my dear, dear prince I won't keep you long, won't preach,
But every manand every woman get what they deserve,
Now I knowthe revenge was intense, but you had a real nerve,
Oh! Look at you, sleeping finally,I have delivered you to peace,
You see I saved two doves, that shot was mine and your release,
Well your last performance was your greatest,of that I am sure,
The audience stood with baited breath as youslid to the floor,
Sorry, ladies and gentleman this play was on onenight only,
The girl you seeis now pretty lonely,
Your seeit's the cast, the numbers are an important factor,
The play just can't continue without
The Leading Actor.
