We went out together
To discover the truth,
We wandered and waited;
We had nothing to lose.
A rustle behind us
Sent chills down our spines.
We turned around quickly,
But there was nothing to find.
Our search then was halted
By that small, rustling noise.
But then he faulted,
That stupid young boy.
A shadow came towards us,
It was tall, dark and creepy.
We went up the stairs,
But, alas, they were creaky.
He ran out of fear,
Leaving me stranded,
And he didn’t care
That I would soon be branded.
The shadow soon cornered
And came close to me.
He looked at my neck,
And said, “Count to Three.”
“1...”
He came nearer.
“2...”
He past the mirror.
“3...”
He bit down.
From then on I knew
Not to trust everyone.
My so-called “friend”
Only wanted some fun.
But now, as a vampire,
I really must say,
Don’t search after Dark
On Halloween Day.
