Charlatan Charade
As you all know, poetry is the way for us to open our hearts and share all the feelings within. These are my feelings on this day, Halloween, actually, and all of you who feel like you go through your days faking everything should be able to relate somewhat (if I wrote it the way I wanted to, anyway) So c'mon! Read it! You know you want to!!There she goes again,
That smiley little girl,
Oh how we'd love,
To live in her world
Glances so bright,
Eyes so cheery,
One has to wonder,
If she ever grows weary
What's this, what's happened?
What is gone?
Something here
Is horribly wrong
There's no prescence,
no caring smile today
Why, something must be off!
Whatever's in the way?
But do you really know what happened?
Do you really have a clue?
That charlatan smile,
Was all for you.
She just finally decided to drop the act.
