WHEN I WAKE UP

It's like I'm here, in existance but I'm not. Everything is grey for me, grey and black and everything is dark and distant and I'm not real. It's like I'm a shadow, a ghost, and everyday that I breathe and go through the motions of getting through the day, I'm not alive and I don't know how to be.

when I wake up the
sky is blackened
when I wake up
the rainfall comes
a darkened day
and never lightened
the dripping faucet
and thunder's roar
a nearing storm,
emotions pour
depression's face
and burning grasp
misery's home and
sorrow's mask
hell's new claim
and parting's gift
a choice's making
and living done
when I wake up
the dawn is breaking
when I wake up
the sunshine leaves
reality comes and
dreams are dead
reminders waken
and hurting stays
when I wake up
my life then plays
when I wake up
my script is read
a cycle forms
and never ends
