Tragically Beautiful
Another one that is a little sick and twistedThe moon smiles so bright.
In her room,
At her vanity mirror-
She sits.
Trying on the wedding gown
One last time.
Candles aglow-
Casting shadows on the walls.
Running a silver brush
Through her perfect locks of hair.
Humming to herself
A nameless tune.
She sends for her groom.
Down the hall he runs-
A knock on the door-
She beckons him to enter.
They kiss passionately.
But just as swiftly,
She pulls away
And down her face run tears.
He tries to soothe her.
She walks to her nightstand
Opening the drawer slowly,
As he stops cold in his tracks.
She turns around,
With a gun now in hand.
With a soft whisper
She says to him
“I love you, I really do”
Her hands shake,
A sob shudders through her body.
She hesitates-
Then- pulls the trigger.
One shot-
It rings through the night.
One bullet-
Straight through the heart.
“It is bad luck, my love-
To see a brides gown
Before the wedding”
She walks over to where he lies,
Bending down,
She kisses his cold lifeless lips-
One last time.
She sees the reflection in the mirror
in rage
Throws the murder weapon
At what potrays
A beautifully cold bride.
Pieces shatter,
And shards fly.
The largest of all
Slits her throat.
Slowly at first-
Then faster and faster
Crimson red blood
Spills down the front of her wedding gown.
Now two lifeless bodies-
Bride and groom,
Sharing a beautiful love,
Share a tragically stunning end.
