My City Sleeps

Created by ThECaTMaN on Saturday, December 20, 2008

I walk this empty road,
The road no one else will ever know.
Carrying on me that which has been bestowed,
And from this pain I'll learn to live again.
I travell this empty path,
The path that winds through an empty city.
Feeling on me a deadly wrath,
Though I won't forget I won't regret.
I pass this empty place,
Theplace where I will live out all my days.
I long to see your face,
In this city of peace that always sleeps.
My shadow walks with me,
The only company I'll ever have.
If this is peace, I'll have to disagree,
For I am on my own and I walk alone.
But we shall walk together,
And hold hands as we pass this empty city.
Through this place we will always walk, forever,
It is me you'll take, this city will finally become awake.
