Sadists and Sins

Basically, this is about my dad thinking that just because he was a druggie I will be too, and how he stifles me until drugs are the only way out that I can see, and all the self fulfilling prophecy shit.

Pushing me into my mind
Forgetting the fact I'm not blind
You think you can erase what I might be
But all you do is draw hate to me

I understand you may mean well
But you fucked up my mental health
I can't release what's underneath
And all you do is draw hate to me

I remember the stories you have told
And if it's alright, if I may be so bold
All the cautions and warnings
Have just pushed you further from me

I know what you were
And why you swore
That I would never be
But in the end
I can't pretend
It hasn't pushed you further from me

There's a draw to a life of sadists and sins
There's a draw to escapes from the troubles of men
I will become what you never wanted to see
Because all that you do is draw hate to me
