Society pushes them deep into the darkest corner;
Ignoring, refusing their ways.
What did they do to deserve to be outcaste,
All they do is love.
Does it not fit the-
"American Dream"?
A suburban home,
with a white picket fence;
the SUV in the drive.
2.5 kids
a mommy
a daddy...
is it all so predictable?
Or is it religion
that denies them?
As we all know,
the religious ones are...
Oh, so perfect.
So they persecute,
Righteousness allows for damnation.
Their lifestyle-is it really that different?
"It's unnatural",
"That lifestyle is wrong"
Is what past generations had drilled into children.
Is it wrong because they are brave?
Slipping away from societal trends.
Their strength is proof enough,
Love does not discriminate;
Race
Age
Beliefs
Morals
Ideals
Or gender.
So why?
Why against orientation?
Is it truly not normal?
Is it fear, intimidation?
The "unnaturals" stand for what they believe,
Not the false bravery;
True courage, real boldness.
What, I must ask, makes them...
"Unnatural"?
