What do you like to wear?

Anything that stays out of they way when I'm fighting. Something respectable. Dark robes with deep hoods. And masks. Yes... Something flashy--I like to be front page news. Something that identifies me immediately for people who might need my services. Something tasteful yet stylish, that speaks of ambition. Blue jeans and T-shirts, or a suit if the occasion calls for it.

Where would you like to live?

Doesn't matter. I'm usually out on the job. Close to Hogwarts. Far from Muggles. London, dear. The center of it all. I could live anywhere. People always need me around! In a tasteful neighborhood, close to people who could help my career. A flat near the Leaky Cauldron would probably be the most useful.

How important is the prestige of your job?

I have to admit... I like being admired. Respect is more important than prestige. It should hardly be necessary to work at all. I'd prefer to leave the day-laboring to those more suited to it. It's all about the by-line. Very. But I'm willing to pay my dues while I work my way up. I'd like to be looked up to. I don't care. I'd just like to do what I want to do.

What are your favorite classes at Hogwarts?

Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration There's something likeable in all of them. Though McGonagall and Lupin are my favorite teachers. They've all been infested by Muggle thinking. You find a Runespoor (a three-headed serpent known to be a favorite pet of dark wizards) far from its natural habitat. What do you do?

Track it to wherever it's going--it could lead me to its master. Capture it for study--you don't see one of those everyday, and lots of people you know would be interested in learning about it. Bring it home. Clearly it got lost, and it's time to feed it. Assume it belongs to Harry Potter, and use the occasion to repeat the story that Potter is a Parselmouth. Try to harvest some of the venom from the rightmost head to develop an antidote to a Runespoor bite. Report it to the proper authorities immediately... *someone* isn't doing very well in the Department of Regulation and Control o Pick up a telephone and call animal control.

You run into a Muggle lost on the moors near a magical site she's not suppoed to see. What do you do?

Check to make sure she hasn't been attacked by Death Eaters, question her about what she's seen, then, if necessary, do a Memory Quickly transfigure your clothing into something Muggle-like, and patiently give the Muggle directions to the nearest Muggle vil Smile wickedly. Looks like you've come across tonight's entertainment. Take the opportunity to ask a Muggle what she thinks about what's going on in the world. It should make an amusing story. Make sure she isn't injured, then guide her away from the site. Heal any injuries, then do a Memory Charm to make sure she does Get her out of there and obliviate at the first possible moment. Report this! The Ministry needs to arrange for better securit Give her a map, or if you're close to a road, call her a taxicab and lend her the fare.

The _Daily Prophet_ has just run an article accusing you of plotting against the government. What do you do?

Find out who wrote the article, and track its source. Sounds like someone is trying to get me out of action. Patiently compile all counter-evidence and present an airtight case to the Wizengamut. Find out who leaked that information, and use it as an opportunity to work on my Unforgiveables. Dig up something on the reporter and respond in kind. Ask the editor of the _Prophet_ if she would like to send her reporter to the Closed Ward for awhile--it seems there are delusio Lean on the _Prophet_ until it prints a retraction and an apology, and preferably fires the reporter in question. Try to find out how one files suit for libel in the Wizarding World.

You haven't been in Diagon Alley for ages. Where is the first place you go?

Knockturn Alley--it's the best place to gather information. Flourish and Blotts. I have a long list of books to buy. Borgin and Burkes. I have some questionable items to dispose of. I'd stay in the Leaky Cauldron for a bit and catch up on my gossip. I would restock my Potions supplies. I always seem to be running low. I would check to make sure that the merchandise in the various shops meets government requirements. Gringotts, to change my money.

You find out the Muggles have landed some sort of exploration device on Mars. What do you think?

I think I should make sure that no dark magic has been involved, but beyond that, it's not my concern. I'm fascinated! Mars! I should like to know what they find there, and compare it to what our Astronomers know. I would share Muggles? Surely, you're joking. If not, then I suggest we remind them where the power is. It's an outrage! I would gather up what we know about Mars from centuries of study, compare it to what *they* think they've com I'd be interested in finding out how they've solved the physical problems of space travel--did they only send a device because t It's hardly relevant. I would make sure it was known by people in power, and see to it that nothing the Muggle device could see I'd think it's about bloody time. They've been talking about it for years.

I think it's time to start looking into the whereabouts of a fugitive. He may well be hiding in the Muggle world. It troubles me, but I don't want to jump to conclusions. Is the spell one which could logically be guessed, based on language? First, why on Earth would I be in a Muggle tavern, or pay any attention to their programs if I were? Get there as fast as possible and join the fight against him. That's the most important thing. Make sure the students are safe. They are my first responsibility. Try to find the Dark Lord and ask if I could be of any assistance. Observe it from a distance and take down all the details. People will want to know! I'd go quickly, through the siege lines if necessary, and offer my assistance to Madam Pomfrey, to help anyone who had been hurt The Dark Lord is dead, I tell you! Why do you ask such ridiculous questions. Has anyone thought to ask the Armed Forces for help? They may have a weapon or two that the Death Eaters won't be prepared for,
