Take the [Rp] My Butler Taught me More about History than my Teacher did [Chapter 1] quiz.

The morning breeze felt no different from any previous days. As a matter of fact, it began to feel quite cold at this time of the year. The sun on his side, barely poked his way over the buildings surrounding you as you walked downtown...

Along with the rest of the crowd, you stopped at the intersection. Arms crossed over your chest, you tried to warm up a little, as you patiently observed the animation coming from the busy street in front of you.

A minute later, the lights changed. Tagging along the crowd, you began crossing the street, keeping up with the pace. Only were you enough behind it, that some impatient driver began honking for you to hurry up...

After telling him your thoughts, he might of course have gotten a little more furious... But you didn’t bother and went on, until you reached the sidewalk. After letting out a sigh, you toke a moment to remind yourself where you were heading to.

After all, you made all your way down to university that morning for... Nothing. Yes, it would be the word. You only had one class that morning, and the teacher ended up being absent. “Such luck” you whispered to yourself.

But on the bright side, you planned to use those wasted hours of sleep for something else. “A walk around town cannot hurt” you thought. So you finally separated yourself from the crowd, as you toke a smaller street who wasn’t yet familiar to you.

A few people crossed your path, as you kept the same pace along your way. It appeared that you went into some old neighbourhood... The buildings structures felt as if they came from another era, as if they still held it open to your sight.

A few cars went by, but you didn’t let your ears be bothered by any of the sounds they made. No, your eyes gazed from one building to another, but they remained glued to one amongst all of the others... One that held a sign “Antiques”.

Probably taken over by curiosity, you walked up the few steps in front of the shop’s door and hesitated a minute before opening the door to take a peek in. Noticing someone inside, you judged it ok for you to go in...

You made a few steps in, your eyes not leaving the one you believed to be the owner of the shop. You toke the initiative to break the silence, “Hi!”. It toke a second before the man finally turned around. He looked past his 50’s, and simply nodded at you.

Noticing he wasn’t one to talk, you didn’t push the conversation further, and simply went on to take a look at the items he sold. That, without reminding you of the awkward ambiance floating around the room.

Your fingers brushed against a few statues. Yes, those that you usually see covered with dust in the movies... To tell actually how old they are. Not minding the owner, you went on until your eyes crossed a single book on a stall.

Curious, you mumbled its title. “The illumin...” and well, you never got to finish reading it, as you were suddenly cut by a voice addressing to you. “Merely a book about a conspiracy you know, nothing one would believe nowadays”.

Surprised, your head automatically flew around to see your interlocutor. There, beside you, appeared a young man... From his silhouette, you judged him to be your age. But with his hood on, you couldn’t much of him.

“Sorry, what were you saying?” you dare asked. You didn’t take your eyes off him. Yet, you couldn’t see his face, still. But before even adding anything else, he simply turned around and walked off, heading for the door...

Finding this reaction of his really weird, you just watched him as he opened the door and left. Your eyes blinked a few time as you said to yourself, “There’s always someone to outweird you in big cities...”

Just as you were going to continue your visit, you stopped as your feet met... Something else than the floor. You automatically looked down, only to notice an object on the ground. You bent down to pick it up... “A pocket watch?”

You got up with the object within your hands. From the quick look you gave it, it surely looked like an antique. To be sure, you just pointed it out to the shop owner who shook his head. “If it’s not his... Then... That guy?”

You hesitated for a moment. Would you go after the guy or not? Rather why would you... Well, maybe the common good is telling you to do so, must be. “Plus he must have not gone far” you thought. You went for the door...

As you opened the door, you couldn’t help but take a look again at the pocket watch. With the sunlight, it reflected an old silver shade, just as it enlightened the borders of the weird emblem onto it. Looked like some sort of an eye...

It actually distracted you enough to make you miss the few steps there were at the door... Therefore, you tripped your way down, holding tight onto the mysterious object, until you felt your face harshly hit the sidewalk.

Your thoughts began distorting, as well as your vision became blurry. Your head had really hit hard the ground it appeared! You tried to get up, but the gravity worked its way against you. Lying down, your eyes remained onto the watch...

You felt a little blood dropping from the side of your head. Not sure yet how injured you were, you tried to get up once more only to gradually feel dizzier. Your breath, heavier. You began to seriously panic as your vision faded to black...
