Okay, everyone, like I said in the result of the previous quiz, you can take this quiz or not. It wouldn't affect the storyline in a major way. Read on, and you'll understand why. This, as said in the title, is a special. As I write this I just released the 34rth and 35tth quiz. I always type them beforehand, and use up Internet time in releasing them. Our PC is fixed, really, but it doesn't have an Internet connection. So...there. Oh, and lunarstargazer, if youre reading this, and to every person who's studying really hard for the exams, good luck. I got so many well-wishers when it was my turn. I'd like to return the favor. Well, enjoy! This is almost entirely in Hiei's POV. I'll use he, though.

Hiei had left quickly, leaving Orion bewildered. He hid in the trees until she went away, trying, again, to look cheerful.
He heard her get in the car. She began to talk with Kurama animatedly, and the still night air carried the conversation to him.
'Did you give it to him?' Kurama asked her.
'Yep,' she said.
'He'll find your other gift soon,' Kurama said.
'It seems...a mistake now. I'm so corny.'
What other gift? Hiei thought in confusion. But the car was speeding away.
Hiei fumbled for the pouch that Orion had given him. As he did so, he noticed a spare fold of cloth that didnt seem to belong, like an awkward pocket. He tugged at it.
A second later, a tape fell out. He caught it just before it hit he ground. His confusion increased. why would she give me a tape? To listen to it?
And why did she say it was corny?
Hiei looked at it, then decided that he would drop in at Kurama's to listen to it. It was a plain looking tape, no note, and for a second he thought of destroying it.
But he quickly disposed of the idea. It was from Orion. He should give her....a chance. It was what she deserved.
I wonder what's in the tape...
It was a few hours later, nighttime. Hiei had waited for a while, to make sure that Orion and Polaris had really left. Kurama didn't look surprised as he opened the door and saw Hiei on his doorstep. 'I need to borrow your radio,' he said brusquely. Kurama nodded and led him to his room, showing Hiei his radio.
'I'll leave you alone, then,' Kurama said. Hiei nodded as he inserted the tape into the radio.
Kurama was almost at the door when Hiei stopped him. 'Kurama, what do you know of this?'
Kurama gave him a small smile. 'Suffice it to say that she thought a hundred times before she actually gave it to you.' Then he left.
Hiei frowned. He pushed the 'play' button, and sat on Kurama's chair.
There was a few seconds of silence. Then, he heard Orion's voice.
' Hello, Hiei. I'm really glad that you're listening to this. It means that you haven't destroyed it. ' she laughed, and music began to play in the background. 'actually I'm not sure if I'll be able to give this to you personally, or if I'd even give it to you. If I do decide to give it, and you don't attend the party, I'll give it to Kurama, so he'll give it to you. But I hope I'll be able to give it to you personally. It's a private gift, you see.'
Hiei hn'ed. He was, at the very least, relieved that it wasn't a tape filled with ningen music, the type that Yusuke and Kuwabara liked to listen to. It would have blasted his ears off.
She was speaking again. 'I don't know if I'll be able to explain ember to you, either. Ember's the powder I gave you. If you sprinkle a bit of it on your katana, it will grow hotter and stronger. If you eat it, it will warm you up. Be careful just to dip your finger into it, though-too much of it might damage you internal organs. '
I gave him a gift that might kill him?
' You might be wondering where I got a tape recorder. Actually, I'm recording this the day after I woke up, just after my operation. Kurama gave it to me. He said it would keep me from being bored. He's actually right. ' There was another laugh.
' I hope I haven't forgotten to tell you (though it won't surprise me if I did) that I appreciated your visit last night. Somehow it cheered me up. Maybe it was because I was teasing you too much. ' There was a pause, a quickly stifled giggle.' I'm sorry, truly I am.
Besides that, Hiei, I wanted to thank you. Ive said this many times before. But I really do. I was an idiot sometimes. You and the team, my brother, the girls....I never felt I was alone, or different. You remind me of my brother, to tell you the truth. Kurama and you both.
But what you did for me is something that I don't think you do often. I know Polaris is mad at you for some reason (he doesn't tell me why) but I hope that he'll get over it someday. '
There was another pause. Hiei leant forward, listening intently. 'So, that's it,' her voice concluded. 'That's all I have to say. There's a song here too. Perhaps you'd like to listen to it?.'
Hiei waited.

Hiei stared blankly at the tape. Her voice again. 'I know it's not very applicable to you, but you should see the rest of the songs I've considered.' There was a short laugh again. 'Bye, Hiei. You can always visit me.'
Hiei stood up, grabbed the tape, and left through Kurama's window without another word.
Kurama watched him go from the next room, smiling into the receiver. He'd been talking to this person since Hiei entered the room. 'I think he liked it.'
'How do you know?' moaned the feminine voice from the phone. 'I can't believe I did that...'
'He was smiling.'
Yes, this is it, the end of the road. The end of the Cursed One(cause she's not cursed anymore, lol...). I have good news: I have a plot for the sequel already. I don't know if it will push through, I don't want to promise you anything I might not be able to do, but I think there's a 60-40 chance that I'll do a sequel, in your favor.
