Chapter 8 - Solid proof

---Hayley's Pov---

"You got something?" I asked Luc and took the video camera out of his hand astounded. I can't believe he found something.

"You sound like you didn't think I would!" He told me and folded his arms. "Now where's this reward?" he asked and looked around the hut.

"There's no reward! I just told you that so you'd do it!" I told him. Luc rolled his eyes and left the hut muttering something along the lines of me being a demon and not Jude. I pushed play on the video and watched the recording.

It started with Mia taking out a cell phone and dialling a number. "Hello?" she started. "You're right. It was easy........... hard to say but I think he almosts trusts me completely........... I know but the others have opinions......... yes, the angel........ the other two? They're trying to stay out of it........." Mia stopped talking and looked directly at the camera. "How did you know?" she asked the phone. "......I will........ that's what I was planning.........I will as soon as I can....... See you then! Bye!" she hung up and walked off. Luc held the camera so it was facing him. "How's that for proof?" He said and ended the transmission. I smiled. I have solid proof. All I have to do is show Elliot and Leo and everything will be good. I heard a scream. It sounded like Luc's. I got up and went to look out the door but I was kicked in the gut. I flew back onto the ground. Mia came in the door and locked it. She took of one of her high heels and took the tape out of the camera and smashed it with the shoe.

She turned towards me. "Tell anyone and you'll never see Luc again! Got it?" She threatened me. I guess there's a little more to that message than I thought.

"I'm sorry. I don't tell anyone what exactly?" I asked her. I'm hoping to annoy her a little. She glared at me. Heh heh.

"You know exactly what I mean!" she said and pointed towards the remains of the tape. I gave her a confused a look.

"Sorry?" She bit her lip and closed her eyes.

"You're not worth the trouble......" she told me and turned around and walked out the door. "Remember this conversation!" she added.

"What conversation?" I asked her. She gave me a dirty look and ran off. I rolled my eyes. I've been threatened a few times before. I wonder what she has planned for Luc? What could she do to him? She seems harmless. He could take her easily. Although, he screamed. He's never screamed before. Is she different somehow? I better not take any chances. I'll keep this a secret.....for now. I'll just need to get more solid proof. This time, I know it isn't in my head and I know what to look for. I just a need another way to do it.
