After all the events went down, I had to text Rodney and tell him I won. After a couple minutes later he replied.
*Dude don’t text me, that’s gay. Meet me in front of the school.*
I told Danielle that I couldn’t come pick her up today. At the moment I was really tempted to just break up with her. I won the bet, she’ll find out soon and make a big scene about it. But I thought I’d just wait and see how it goes.
I spotted Rodney waiting in the parking lot. I walked up to him, flipped open my phone, and showed him the picture I took of Danielle while she was sleeping. In the photo you could see Danielle’s face, it also showed half of her bared chest. Rodney smirked at the evidence that showed that I won.
“Way to go Sykes, didn’t think it could be done. Especially by you, but you did it.” He said while giving me a high-five, causing me to smile.
“Took some hard work, but it was worth it.” I’m vain. But the band had to come first. And no way is Oliver Scott Sykes going to finally be a one girl man. Maybe if she doesn’t find out, I’ll keep her around for a bit. I heard Rodney laugh, dragging me out of my thoughts.
“Here you go man.” Rodney said while handing me the money.
“I already gave my uncle your demo. He likes your guys sounds and wants you to drop by sometime.” He said while handing me a business card that had a number on it.
“Call that number, state your bands name and you should be scheduled.” He told me as he started walking away. No matter how much hell that may be about to head my way, its worth it.
