Chapter 9 -

---Elliot's Pov---

Hayley's been acting especially different now. I honestly don't know what to say. She tries to avoid Jude and Mia at all costs. I haven't seen her talk to her since the picnic. Did something happen? I think I better aske her.

"Hayley?" I asked when we were finally alone.

"Yes?" she replied.

"Why are you avoiding Jude and Mia?" I thought it was better to be blunt. She sighed and turned to me.

"For once in my life I can't come up with a believable lie!" she announced to me. I stared at her shocked. That is very unlike Hayley.

"What's going on?" I asked her concerned.

"You were right!" I was right? "I think I'm jealous of Mia!" I stared at her shocked. Hayley admitted she was jealous. That's very unlike her.

"Are you sure?" I asked her. I was so shocked I actually questioned my own theory.

"Not completely but that really can be the only explanation!" she said and sat next to me. Now she was scaring me. She's questioning herself and her own beliefs. She never did that.

"What about everything you told me? You're barely ever wrong!" I reminded her.

"I'm starting to think it was my imagination!" she said and sighed. I stared at her.

"Maybe it wasn't! Maybe you were right!" I admitted. "You can't just give up your beliefs like that!" I told her and meant it. She smiled at me.

"Thanks!" she said and embraced me in a hug.

Muahahaha. I have tricked Elliot into believing me. I am just that cool. With her in the clear, Leo will slowly follow and we will all pursuit the proof I so deserately need and will bring down Mia once and for all!!
