sat against the tree sketch pad on my lap, and a pencil in my hand. I was drawing a picture of Sasuke, ever since he returned, I’ve been thinking of him a lot lately. I looked up from my drawing and remember the night he left.
“Sasuke… You know I love you… And your probably thinking she’s just saying it to make me stay but… I really do. If you go then I will wait for you! And I want you to know that I will always love you!” Tears streamed down my face as I confessed my love for Sasuke Uchiha. He stood in front of me with no emotions on his face, the wind picked up blowing my brown hair away from my face.
A smirk came upon his “You really thought I would buy that?”
My blue eyes widened I took a step forward “Sasuke, I’m serious I’m not saying it because I think it’s a joke. Its true! Please believe me, please don’t go just stay here”
Sasuke rolled his eyes at me, I reached out and grabbed his arm then pressed my lips against his. I pulled away to see him starring at me with a glare Sasuke turned around and started to walk away.
My eye’s widened who was I kidding I wanted him to stay if he were to leave then I would have to deal with the pain of that everyday! “Sasuke wait-” He disappeared and appeared behind me.
“Talisa… Thank you” Sasuke whispered, I took in a shaky breath while tears continued to pour down my cheeks. “I really hope you wont stop loving me when I return” My eye’s widened with surprise, then I felt him hit my pressure point as I slipped into the darkness.
I woke up to see that I was on a bench with something wrapped around my wrist, I looked down to see it was the bracelet I had made him, when we became team members. Tears escaped my eye’s.
I inhaled not believing it had been 3 years already, and Sasuke was already back. Glancing back down aat my wrist I saw the bracelet. What should I do? I mean I still have feelings for him…But.
“Talisa! Stop day dreaming and lets go!” Shikamaru my best friend shouted, I looked over to him and smiled. I raced over to him and jumped on him “Shika poo!” I shouted.
Shikamaru let out a groan “You and your annoying personality you have to much energy. And don’t call me that.” I laughed at him, while he just rolled his eyes. I got off him and smiled, without Shikamaru I don’t know what would’ve happened to me! When Sasuke left Shikamaru was there always there to help through that, and shockingly there was a state where I was totally depressed and… not LOUD! But thanks to Shikamaru here I was able to get back to my old self. Shikamaru turned to me with a raised eye brow and a face that read ‘ are you coming?’ I laughed and walked over to him. Me and Shikamaru were talking when I bumped into someone
“I’m sorry” I said smiling up at… Sasuke! I lost my breath for a second, when he came back I really didn’t see him only from a distance but other then that I avoided him.
“Talisa… I wanted to talk to you” He said putting his hands in his pockets, Shikamaru came to my side glaring at Sasuke who only glanced at him “Alone”
“
What ever you can say to me you can say in front of Shikamaru” I stated crossing my arms in front of my chest. “Fine. I just wanted to say, I missed you. And in truth I really did care about you, even had feelings for you!” my mouth hung open along with Shikamaru’s. “When you gave me that kiss before I left, I realized how much I really cared about you, maybe that’s why I’m back because of you. And you said that you would still love me. I wanted to know… You still do right?” Sasuke sounded like he really did care, I opened my mouth to speak when Shikamaru pulled me back.
“What makes you think she would want you? Do you have any idea what you made her go through?” I starred at Shikamaru bewildered. What’s gotten into him? “Shikamaru…”
“Come on. Lets go!” Shikamaru grabbed my hand and shoved Sasuke away. After several blocks away I finally found my voice.
Grabbing my hand out of his I started to shout “What’s wrong with you!? Don’t you get it! I still have feelings for Sasuke and maybe he’s telling the truth, and maybe I should give him a shot! Why’d you blow up on him like that?!” I searched Shikamaru’s face for an answer, but I didn’t get an answer instead I got a kiss. Shikamaru pulled away “I like you. A lot. Alright I always had! But I knew you liked Sasuke so I didn’t want to say anything, and I didn’t want to tell you when he left because then you would just be mad at me, and now seemed like a good time because I didn’t want you to off with Sasuke and leave me here in the dirt! I’m sorry I acted like a jerk, but at least you know. I got to go now, I’ll see you tomorrow” Shikamaru turned away and left me in the middle of the road totally stunned.
I took a deep breath not believing what had just happened, and that kiss. I smiled at the thought of it, was amazing! Does that mean I have feelings for Shikamaru too? Well… Now that I think about. I thought about all the times we had spent, and how many times I had just starred at him while he would sleep on the grass when I would be looking for him and how peaceful he looked, and the way he said my name. I let out a groan, GREAT! Now I have 2 guys that say they like me! And I can only chose one! Why does this have to be me! Letting out a growl I stomped away to my house.
I walked around the town tired from not getting a good nights rest to busy thinking about Shikamaru and Sasuke. Why did they have to do this? Just as everything was going great to! I ran my hands through my hair totally frustrated by this. Someone grabbed me by the arm, I turned around to see Sasuke standing there. “Before anything, I just want to say. I’m sorry. I know I left you, but I had to!”
I looked at him skeptically “You had to? No you didn’t. You could’ve stayed, but instead you left for more power. Do you have any idea what you put me through?!” Sasuke turned his face away from mine, then looked back at me our eye’s met and a blush crept into my cheeks. Sasuke placed his hands on either side of my faces. I raised an eye brow at him, he just smirked “just be quiet” he leaned in and our lips met, I closed my eye’s and kissed back. Sasuke pulled away with a smile on his face, a real smile.
“so does that mean you want to be with me?” He asked, I looked at the ground. “Please. She doesn’t want to be with you!” my head snapped over to Shikamaru, who had his arms crossed over his chest with an angry expression on his face. “Shika…”
“oh please Nara! She doesn’t want you she wants me! Talisa said she would love me no matter what, even when I returned.” Sasuke replied angrily, as he stepped closer to Shikamaru. I looked between them not sure what I should do.
“Oh and what makes you think she still loves you? When you ditched her and left her scarred! I was there when you left! I was always there! I was there when She would cry non stop!” I winced in pain. Sasuke went to punch Shikamaru I stepped into between them.
“STOP IT! Stop it both of you! I don’t know who I should pick…” I looked at both of them with a pleading look. They back off “fine”
“Shikamaru you’re my best friend! And I like you, and yesterday when you kissed me. I started to think maybe I like you more. And Sasuke I like you to and when you left I wished everyday you would come home! And now your home your back. But I just don’t know who I should pick!” I looked at both them to see that they had looked away from each other and were now looking at me. Shikamaru rolled his eyes, along with Sasuke. “Fine, come and get me when you make your discussion.” Shikamaru walked over to me and placed a kiss on my cheek. “Me too, I really liked that kiss and when your thinking about your discussion think about the kiss alright?” Then Sasuke to walked away. I let out a sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. Well this is going to be interesting.
Sitting in my room eating coffee Ice cream, and looking at the picture I had drew of Shikamaru and Sasuke. What a fun night! Luckily my other best friend Ino was here to help me.
She picked up the picture of the 2 boys we were in our Pj’s deliberating who I should chose, Ino puckered her lips and leaned against her cheek. “Shikamaru is cute I’m not gonna lie. And So is Sasuke. This is a very hard discussion.” I looked at her with a swear drop.
“Gee thanks for the help!” I pulled the pictures away from her, Ino just rolled her eyes, and took a scoop of ice cream. I sighed and fell on the floor “I don’t know what to do!” “well…What makes you like them?” Ino asked.
“Well… Shikamaru was always there for me when Sasuke left, and when he laughs I can’t help but smile. When he gets mad when I call him a silly nickname, and that kiss.-”
“WAIT! You kissed him! Tell!?” Ino looked at me with amused eyes.
“It was amazing! I can’t explain it. But Sasuke when he kissed me it felt good, right. And then when he actually smiles its wow. When we were younger he would always be there to protect me from danger, and I know that he would still do that for me. What am I suppose to do!” I groaned looking at Ino who was in thought.
“Listen to your heart”
I gave her a look “What the hell?! Everyone says that but I’ve been listening and guess what” I paused and looked around the room “Its not saying anything to me! All it does is sit there! What’s the use of having a heart when it doesn’t even work when you want it to work!” I shouted, Ino laughed at me. As a shout came from behind the door.
“WOULD YOU SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR STUPID GIRL PROBLEMS!! Some people in this house want to sleep!” Sean my older brother shouted, Ino and I laughed. “And stop talking to your self its kind of weird!” “Idiot! Ino is here!” The door opened to reveal my brother standing in boxers and a white tang top. Ino gave a small wave to him, with a little blush on her cheeks. He blushed “I’m going down stairs to get some water” with that he shut the door and walked away.
“Damn… Your brother is hot! I wish he was my boyfriend” Ino pouted, with a small blush. I looked at her appalled “1. EWW! 2. We are kind of in a situation here! I don’t know what to do!” Ino laughed at me.
“Look I don’t know what to tell just listen harder alright, maybe there will be a sign. I’m going down stairs to see if your brother is still down there” she gave me a wink and headed down there. I walked over to my window and opened it up, I looked at the stars wishing this was easier. Come on I just want a sign! The wind picked up and I turned around to get a smack in the face with one of my drawings. I growled thanks. I looked down at the drawing to see it was Sasuke. I smiled at it. Maybe this was my sign. “So…” Sasuke sat next to me on the bench looking at his hands, nodding his head he looked at me with a small smile “So you don’t want me?”
I shook my head “I’m sorry its just that when you left it hurt. A lot. And I don’t think I can rely on someone who hurt me before and I just don’t feel right being with you. I know that sounds really mean but its true I’m sorry you probably want this back.” I handed him the bracelet, he took it. “Its fine. I understand why you wouldn’t chose me, just when Shikamaru hurts you. I’ll be here to protect you” a huge smiled spread across my face I jumped up and gave Sasuke a tight hug. He hugged back. I ran off in search of Shikamaru. I found him in the park I smiled “Shika Poo!” He turned around with a raised eye brow, I ran full speed ahead, and leaped on top of him letting my lips crash his as we fell to the floor.
He smiled at me “so does this mean, you chose me?”
“No I just wanted to jump on you and kiss you for the heck of it” I said sarcastically
“well then you should do it more often” Shikamaru said smiling, I smiled back and kissed him again.
Yep I defiantly made the right choice.
