RECAP: Had a mini date with Eric through the night and woke up on the stairs of the porch.

The next morning you could feel the Suns warmth hit your skin. "Audri.......Audri...wake up hun. Aud..." You slowly woke to Sookies voice. "Huh?" "Why you asleep on the steps?" "Oh....I am?" You said opening your eyes. You looked around lazily. "Well-yeah you did." "Wow....Sook you won`t believe what happened last night." You said. "Gezz thought you were ganna make me ask, what happened last night?Tell meinside." She said touching your arms. She moved you to the kitchen and decided to make you breakfast. You took a seat at the table and look at Sookie. Your back and neck were terriably sore seeing that you sleep in a bad position on the steps. "Why were you home so late Audri?" "Well (you smiled) me and Eric....we took a walk. It was sooo nice." She switched her attention to you and her hair bounced around her shoulders. "How so?" "Well, he`s not much of a talker. Though we sat and looked at the stars. I thought he was adorable-he hates being teased." Sookie sat next to you, placing food before you. "What Sook? Whats with the face." She was looking at your plate of food and opened her mouth. But closed it and turned to you."Bill said that Eric`s very selfish and that hes dangerous. I just want you to be safe Audri" Looking worried. Instinctivly you felt the need to defend Eric as he had given you a dream come true for giving you vision.You pushed your food away. Stood up and glared at Sookie meanly. Something you hadn`tdone for years."Bill- Whether hes right or wrong Sookie I don`t care. I know what risks I`m taking and I`m willing to face them. Eric treats me well, so don`t you dare say bad of him in front of me." You turned your back to her and left the room. "Audri- I didn`t..." "Didn`t what Sook? (turning to face her)- fangbanger" You hissed. You got some clothes and took a shower afterward.

Something you had come to neglectwas the thought of looking at yourself. Wipeing the fog off the mirror you moved back. "woah" Moving close to exam your grey green eyes. Your hair was soft and wavy in the reflection. Lips fine, and your lashes long. Happy with yourself but not cocky, you dressed and left the house. You had brought a book with you, but for once- not in brail. (Form of writing for blind) You decide to walk to the lake you and Sookie sat before. You planned to avoid her the rest of the day.

When you finally arrived you took your converse off and walked down the dock. The Sun was comfortably warm, and although it may appeal strange to some at how odd you may have picked a flower and stared at it or watched the rippling of the water intensly. It made you feel alive. Sitting down you began to read the book "The Kite Runner". The sun slowly settled from one side of the lake to the other side as the day wore on. While you were about to finish the 7th chapter someone called behind you.

"Audri" Said someone you knew by heart. You looked over your shoulder. "Hello Rene." "Hey Ms. Pretty Lady, what you doing out here by yourself? Its almost dark." He asked you hands on his waist. "Oh, just waiting till I can`t read in the sun`s light.Then I`ll go home. And you? Why you here." Equally curious. "Ohhh got night shift tonight. And on my way Jason asked me to get his tool belt." "Ah" He looked around as if something was flying around his ruffled hair. "You seem abit sweaty." You commented. "Working in the yard.-- Audri, don`t you think its abit unsafe sitting here all alone, its almost night. You know all those vamps be looking for food." He remarked. You didn`t like it, but you understood his ground and stayed calm. "I can handle it." You reassured. "Alright. I better be go`n now." He spoke with his Cajan accent. You nodded friendly turning back to your book. Just when you heard his footstep walk away you turned to wish him a safe day at work himself. But instead you were shook with fear and got to your feet.

"TAKE THAT YOU SICK B***H!" He gritted his teeth and you couldn`t breath as he strangled you. "Re...rene sto...stop *choke*" "DUMB F***ING FANGBANGER!" You instinctly hit foreheads to make him let go. And he did. Gasping for air, butnot wastingtime getting on your feet. To began torun. "RUN RUN RUN RUN" Was all you could process. Your heart pounded your chest. Your own friend was going to kill you. Choke you, strangle you , sufficate the life out of you. And by so, your thoat got tight and eyes wide to stop the tears from rolling out. Once you were in a distance you hid behind a tree, as unsmart as that might have been it was all you could do.

You stood there gripping the bark feeling your body shake as tense as you tried to make it stopfrom collapsing. Your knees were numb. Your fingers cold. And a solemn tear fell alone to the tip of your shoe. You didn`t believe your customer for years and friend you thought was kind, was cruel and dark. After awhile you stepped away from the tree cautiously bending out. You didn`t see anything, but you heard feet behind you. And Rene pounced on you like a cat. *screams* "Yeah!!!....Thought you could hide didn`t ya?!!?" He began to punch you in the face and then sat over you. His hands tightened around your neck. He didn`t have an accent anymore.You kicked frantically trying to escape. You could feel your viens push out as you struggled. When all was almost lost you heard the most frightning noise in all your life. That made you stop struggling and your eyes shot with horror. "shit" Rene annonced dissapointingly. The noise was a deep attacking roar. In a voice mixed with various tone levels. AsRenelooked to his side losing his grip. You swallowed a gulp of air holding your neck. You crawled away from under him. You tried to stand but fell weakly. Your vision was blurred by your over spilling tears that stung, Rene was struggling himself as he was lifted above the ground. His feet dangled below him. Eventually he bagan to shake violently.

You couldn`t talk. You stared in disbelief. When Rene`s feet stopped kicking your chest filled with more pressure. More pain overwhelmed you. He was dropped to the floor like a rag doll. When the man who had killed Rene turned-it was your vampire. Eric. Eric hadkilled Rene right infront of you in cold blood. He walked overto you. You layed in the grass crying like a baby in the fetal position crunched up. You still shook. Hair messy with leaves in it. Eric sat you up. "He won`t hurt you Audri" rocking you back in fourth gentlycraddling youtohis chest. His touch was gentle but you tensed. "You.....you killed him....." saying choppy. Eric held you close for awhile as he kneeled and you layed your legs out. "You have to tell...te..tell the police....." Eric rested his head on yours. Picking you up he put you next to a tree. "Then I`ll be right back." "No. Don`t leave me here." Sounding childish."I`ll be back" he cooed to you. You tryed to reach your hands out to his face, but he pushed them gently down. "Wait."

And you did. He vanished in a blur. You looked to your left and saw Rene`s body. Lifeless he layed there. Just looking at him your eyes began to seep out tears again. You felt so utterly useless and patheticly weak. Eric did in fact tell the police and they had sent cars out. You had your hands over your eyes when Eric came back. "I`m here." He said. Touching your arms, but not moving your hands off your face. You felt ashamed of what you must have looked like. Eric moved you slightly so he laidagainst the treetrunk and moved you on his chest. "My own friend tried to kill me..." Being less choppy now. Eric moved your hands away from your face. "I should had came sooner for you." He said. You looked at him,as he looked else where and relized he took responsibility for your safety. You didn`t feel that he should. "Its not your fualt." You said.

When Eric did look at you he saw that your face began to swell and that you must have been in physical pain. As he himself barely knew what that felt like."Drink" He said holding his bloody wrist to your mouth. "No" "Do it, it`ll make you feel better." You didn`t refuse as you felt terriable and couldn`t move on your own. The warm liquid, ran down your throat smoothly. The cops arrived and took care of the body. You could still hardly stand so you leaned on Eric the whole time, Eric kept his arms round your waist. Andy- when he saw you and Eric,you could tell was petrifiedby Eric. You knew he could be intimidating.Yet, Andyquestioned you and after abit you began to senselessly cry. "Im sorry" you said wipeing the tears away. " Its alright."- Andy.They relized now wasn`t the best time for questions and that they`d visit later instead. They took Rene in a black body bag and was taken with the corner Mike Spencer. "What will they do with him?" You asked. "Oh just take him to the morge. He`ll be buried eventually." Said an officer. Then you tugged at Erics sleeve and looked up at him. "Can you take me home now" He nodded to you. He took you bride style and walked you all the way home rather then run. He must have thought you`d like the time to relax before yougot home,you were thankful for the consideration. And the closeness he had with you was nice as well. When you did get home you couldn`t find your keys. "I got it" He said getting it from your front pocket. Being a gentlemen he opened the door for you.

"Please stay with me Eric" You said holding his finger tips as he handed you your keys back. He followed you to your room.You took off your shoes and you made your way to bed. He followed your example.He layed next to you. You felt his arm over your waist again. You turned over to look at him and scooted closer. Looking at him you said,"Would you mind staying hereuntill you have to....get away from the Sun?" "Of course."Staring at you thoughtfully. It seemed to you his eyestold you whether youwanted him to stay or go, he would have stayed anyway.You put your hand on his arm andsmoothly drifted itup to his face. And looked at him observantly. "I can almost fall into the ocean looking at your eyes...." You murmured. You decided to snuggle into his neck and he ajusted to your notion. "thank you" You whispered kissing his neck. You could feel his body shiver at that. He then snaked his arms again around your shoulder and back and closed his eyes although you knew he wasn`t resting.He put his head over yours, and you twisted your legs around his. The two of you stayed that way for the rest of the night. He kissed you on the forehead weaving his hands through your hair. And surly....your body relaxed after exerting so much energy......and drifted comfortablyto sleep......

"Rest....." Eric cooed into your ear.
