A Snake of Many Colors *2*

The next morning was not a pleasent one for Lauren. Nor was it pleasent for her brother. They both got up extremely early. Kaleb more than Lauren. Lauren hadn't bothered to unpack from last night since she knew she would be leaving in the morning. But she did make sure to throw her uniforms from Beauxbatons in the direction of the trash bin. Lauren made her way down the stairs slowly. Lugging her trunk next to her.

"Good morning sunshine." Kaleb said as Lauren entered the kitchen.

"You are pushing your luck, boy." Lauren said grabbing a muffin from the table. She was in no mood to fight.

"Oh brighten up. You're going to Hogwarts! The most amazing wizarding schools ever!" Kaleb said sitting back in his chair.

"Any school is better than Beauxbatons." Lauren muttered. Her mouth filled with blueberry muffin. She was most deffinately ready to be out of here, and off to this "amazing" school. Lauren set her 3/4 eaten muffin on the table and brushed the crumbs off her hand then walked to her trunk. "Ready?"

"Man, being surrounded by girls did nothing to improve your girly-ness." Kaleb said his eyebrows up.

"I'm not sure that's a word, Kaleb." Lauren said her hands on her hips.

Kaleb sighed and walked to her side. He grasped onto her shoulder, then turned.

They appeared in the middle of a wide dirt path, surrounded by trees.

"Are you sure you knew where you were going?" Lauren asked her hands on her hips and her eyebrow raised.

"Yes I did. And I still do. Miss Smarty." Kaleb said walking off down the path.

Lauren growled but followed. It looked like a long walk. Good thing they left early. Bad thing she packed her trunk full.

After about a 10 minute walk a large gate made it's way into their view. And beyond that was a large castle like building.

"I'm just gonna take a wild guess but," Lauren started, "That's Hogwarts."

"Ohh you are good." Kaleb mubbled sarcastically.

They moved towards the gate and it swung open. Lauren jumped.

Kaleb chuckled. "No need to worry. They're expecting you."

"How?"

"Mom had to register you didn't she?"

"Shut up." Lauren growled walking through the gate and to the front stairs. Waiting for them at the front doors, was an slightly elderly lady with a tall pointy hat. She was smiling but seemed to be a very serious person.

"Hello. Welcome to Hogwarts. I am Professor McGonagall, Head of Gryffindor. I'm guessing you are Miss Lopez?" The woman said.

"Yes ma'am." Lauren answered.

Professor McGonagall nodded. "If you would like to say goodbye to your brother, now is the time."

Lauren blinked first. Finding her a bit to the point, but then turned to her brother. "See ya." she said hugging him.

"Try not to get into to much trouble." He said before giving her a wink then dissapearing.

"Well Miss Lopez. It seems you have arived just in time for breakfast. We shall get you sorted quickly so you shall be able to dine with your knew peers."

Lauren followed promptly, not bothering to say she had already eaten.
