I stood there, shocked. I was simply amazed at how these two men were fighting. And you know what the best part about it was? They fought without managing to scour blood all over the place. Now that's something you don't see in this time.
One of them had a sword. The red-head.And a very skilled swordsmen he was. He slashed, and clashed, but none of the men seemed to have any scars or scratches on them when he fought. They just fell to the ground.
The other guy, let me tell you, he didn't even need a weapon. His two very own hands were as good as the man's sword was. He managed to do more damage with his fists too. I think I even heard some bones crack.
It didn't even pass two minutes yet when all the guys began to run away. Blade stood there, trembling in fear, whilst taking a few steps back.
"You'll-you'll pay for this! You're gonna regret you ever came to this town in the first place!" And with that, Blade ran off to join his minions.
"Are you alright?" One of the men turned toward Emi and asked. "Did those jerks hurt you?"
"No," replied Emi shyly. "They just grabbed my arms a few times, but I'll be okay."
And after that, the crowd turned smaller and smaller when it had just turned to us four, and Izumistanding a few feet away.
"That was really brave what you did." The red-head said.
I looked at him not realizing he was talking to me.
"Oh um, I didn't really um do anything, I was just trying to uh-"
"Yeah that was really brave," the other man said.
I was about to protest, but I then decided to just smile and mutter a small "Thanks."
It's you guys who are the brave ones. You saved us.I appreciate it more than I can say. Thanks a lot." Emi then smiled one of her dazzling smiles. Both of the men smiled back.
"It's no trouble" The red-head said.
Before Emi managed to get another word out of her mouth, I opened my own and asked, ""You guys aren't from around here, are you two travelling or something?"
"Actually this is just a town that we need to pass to get to our actual destination," The red-head said with a smile.
"Oh," was all I could manage to say.
"Excuse me Miss," The red-head turned to Emi and started again, "It's getting late, and I don't want you walking these streets alone, so I think we'd better get you home now, that I do.
"You don't have to do that," Emi said. "My house is just right over-"
"You better start leading the way before it gets dark," The other man said demandingly.
As I slowly turned to walk away, I felt someone pull on the collar of my shirt.
"And where do you think you're going?" The man asked.
"Home," I replied meekly.
"After we take this lady home, we'll be taking your butt right back home after."
"You don't need to trouble yourself though. Our houses go the opposite way and my house is just outside of town. And I won't be walking alone, see my cousin is right over there, she'll be walking home with me." I pointed toward Izumi, still standing a few feet away.
"Ohh that makes sense, now we're walking all three of you home." And before I could say another word, I was being dragged by this man from the collar of my shirt.
"I can walk," I said, " You don't have to drag me around like a ragdoll."
"Oh sorry," He said indifferently, and then he let go.
Before I knew it, I was walking beside my cousin who joined us right after the man started to drag me, Emi, and these two very strange, very mysterious men.
