Returning home we didn't expect to see anything different (and there wasn't anything different anyway), and most of us drifted upstairs falling asleep quickly. I had locked my door, making sure that the jealous Lupe wouldn't be able to get in anyway anyhow. Yes, Lupe is jealous. It's sad. Quite sad. And what's even more sad is that Seth is oblivous to it. How more obvious does Lupe have to make it? Scream it out loud? Write a note? ...bark? Really, I've noticed it, and I'm mostly oblivious to anything like that. And there's something else that's been fairly obvious that others have missed. Seraphine and Connor. Since when did they get so... close? We've been back for five days now, and they're nearly unseperable. What happened that I missed? I was about to find out.
"STEPH! STEPHIE! STEPH! STEPH!!!"
"We got BIG news for you!!"
"Open up!"
"The news sorta includes you!!"
"You NEEEEED to hear this!!"
"...Do I need to hear it this early in the morning...?" I mumbled not caring if they heard that or not. Their damn pounding woke me up first, then their damn screaming kept me up.
"You should probably at least let them in, before they break the door down." Seth said sitting up and leaving me cold. I nodded and slumped out of the bed and over to the door unlocking it. Opening it would be their job, and they would do it automatically. Which they did. And successfully tackled me onto my bed.
"Ow..." I mumbled.
"Oh my god Steph! You'll never guess what happened!" they yelled.
"Squirrels took over the world?"
"No!! I-" Lupe got cut off.
"Guess again!" Lykaon said amused with my torture.
"You drank poison?" I said.
"No! G-"
"Let's just tell her!" Lupe said annoyed. Love how Seth's just out of this conversation. Yes, he's not here anymore. Even though he's sitting next to my head. He's actually not there.
"Fine..." Lykaon mumbled. They both looked at me then took a big breath in and yelled...
"Seraphine's pregnant!!"
My eyes widened.
"Wh-What...?" I said confused out of my mind.
"She is!" Lykaon yelled.
"It's insane!" Lupe yelled.
"H-How did...?"
"You know that run that her and Connor went out on?" Lykaon said. I nodded. They smiled.
"Y-You're... kidding...?!" I said. I shoved them off of me and bolted down the stairs.
"Connor!!" I yelled. He was in the living room and sprung up.
"What?" he asked. I grabbed him.
"Y-You... Seraphine?!?!" I yelled.
"Uhh... what?"
"Oh don't act clueless!!" I yelled. Lupe, Lykaon, and Seth all came down the stairs.
"No Steph! He doesn't know yet!" Lupe yelled.
"I don't know what?" Connor asked. Lupe and Lykaon froze up.
"U-Uhh..." they stuttered. Connor glared at them. Yeah, like that's gonna help.
"Seraphine's pregnant." I said. Luke, who was sitting on the couch listening to our conversation and drinking something, spit it out and Connor's eyes widened.
"Sh-Sh-She's... wh-what...?" Connor stuttered. I nodded. He bolted past me and up the stairs which sounded like he collided more or less with Seraphine at the top of the stairs. They had some type of conversation, which ended up mostly being Connor saying "I'm sorry" more than enough times. Then they came down the stairs. And I figured out how Seraphine noticed she was pregnant. Her stomach was huge! Not like fat huge, like she had something in there huge! And she could have only got pregnant with another wolf, and I know she wouldn't just go doing that but... how did she and Connor... eeep...
"Morning all." Seraphine said happily. We all more or less just stared at her.
"Morning?" I said. "Sera... I'm lost...wh-"
"And I'm hungry. Are we hunting?"
"Not you." Connor said. "You should go rest and wait here for us to get back."
"Why? I can hunt!"
"No. Stay here. Actually, go back upstairs. Rest. We'll bring up food for you when we get back." Connor commanded. Seraphine sighed, but listened and returned back upstairs.
"Kay, let's go hunt." Connor said turning towards the door.
"Shouldn't someone stay here with her?" I asked hoping that maybe I could stay and just sleep.
"Yeah, Luke! You stay here with Sera okay?" Connor yelled. Aw...
"Yeah sure..." Luke said.
"Good, now let's go." Connor said springing out the door.
We hunted then returned home, Connor taking food up to Seraphine and staying up there. According to Luke, he was to move into the twins room (or had already moved into the twins room) while Seraphine got to go into his and Connor's room. Ugh... this is coming on me way to fast. And it won't be long until the puppies are born too. It doesn't take long for our puppies to be born. Yay, more pack members! I went upstairs and to my room, hoping this was just a dream,and climbed into my bed lazily. Seth joined me not too long after and I knew sleep was nearing me, although I was barely tired at all. I didn't understand. I laid there with my eyes shut but sleep refused to overtake me. I rolled onto my back and sighed.
"You not tired either?" Seth said as the sun started to come up. Jeez, we were supposed to be asleep two hours ago!
"No..." I sighed.
"It's weird... the thing about Seraphine I mean." Seth said.
"I know! Okay, so Connor and Sera grew up together practically, and Connor is 23, only one year younger than Sera but... ugh! I didn't think he would!"
"That is the only way to continue the pack isn't it?"
"Yeah but... I don't know!"
"What, you were expecting it to be with a different female wolf?"
"No I- well yes but- gah! I just didn't expect it at all!" I yelled.
"Keep your voice down... they're trying to sleep."
"I know, I know..." I mumbled.
"Let's try and get some sleep." Seth said wrapping his arms around me and pulling me to his warmth. Yay warmth! I nodded. It was silent for a second before Seth spoke up again.
"Did you want to be the one to... continue the pack?" he asked. I thought for a second.
"I... I guess I could have been... I'm fine with pups I guess..." I said. Seth nodded and hugged me tighter.
"You'd be a great mother." he said.
"Really?" I said sarcastically.
"Really." he said completely serious. Umm... is he hinting towards something? Cause that's pretty awkward if he is... eeep... why is this becomeing so complicated now!! Of all times!!!
