You woke up in the Titans infirmary two days later. When you sat up, you felt, odd, no different. You felt. . . happy, happy to be alive. You felt freed in a way, not knowing why, yet accepting it. The room was dark, yet you knew it (you spent so much time in there already). You saw a sleeping figure in a chair next to the bed, and decided against waking them. Judging by how deeply they were sleeping, they needed it. "Only Beast Boy could snore that loud," you thought. It was odd. Down to the last moment before you fell into your coma, he hated your guts. But now, here he was watching over you while you slept. You noticed the drool running from his mouth and couldn't help but laugh, however quietly and suppressed it was. His ears twitched slightly at the noise, and his eyes slowly opened. It took him a few seconds to come to. "Good to see you're awake," you said as if he had been the one asleep for the past few days. "Huh?" he wiped the drool from his mouth. "Why are you in my room? Wait, this isn't my room," he said looking around. "Why am I in here? Why are you in here?" he said confused. Then he remembered the situation, "Oh, right," then realizing you were awake, "Hey, you're awake! HEY GUYS!" he said, yelling to the Titans, wherever they may be, "SHE'S AWAKE! KISMET'S FINALLY AWAKE!" One second passed, then two. On the third second, four people were trying to cram themselves through a single door. "Cyborg move, you're too big," stated Robin "Too big?! I was here first! Y'all can move!" "I am mostly in the room, I arrived first," said Star with her torso through the door and her legs still in the hall. " "Shouldn't we just back up and go through one at a time?" asked Raven logically. "Um, hi guys," you said waving half-heartedly. They all jumped forward and somehow got through the small space. "Friend, how are you feeling?" "I'm fine Stafire, I'm fine. How long was I asleep for?" "Two days," stated Raven, her eyes looking at the floor. "Anything interesting happen?" "Not really," said Robin shrugging. "So," you said trying to get to your feet, "is- ah!" you collapsed to your knees, surprise by how easily your legs gave way, how little strength you had. Cyborg promptly picked you up and put you back in the bed. "Guess I'm not completely healed yet." "Hardly," said Cyborg smiling. "Please try and rest more," said Starfire. "I'll be fine in a day," you said shrugging. "Sure," said Raven, walking out of the room. Everyone watched her curiously. "Are you sure nothing happened?" you asked. "Raven's been acting kinda strange since the whole. . . well, you know," said Beast Boy. "Yeah, I know," you responded. "Look, I know I need to rest," you got to your feet and leaned against something before your legs gave out, "but I need to talk to Raven and she doesn't seem to keen on talking to me. I need to get. . . clean," you said examining your clothes, "and then talk to her." "Okay, if you can get to the bathroom," said Robin. He cocked an eyebrow and smirked. You took a deep breath, then slowly made your way to the corner where the bathroom door was. Slowly, step by step, until you had our hand on the handle. "Ha!" you said in a I-so-beat-you voice, before walking in.
There was a change of your usual clothes were in the bathroom (you were still wearing your blood stained prison clothes from before). You started to scrub on your skin, when you noticed lines of dirt that would not disappear, you would scrub at your skin until it was red, but they still remained. You looked closer and saw it wasn't dirt, but scars, scars Slade gave you. "No," you stared at them in disbelief. They were on your legs, arms, and there was even one down your front. You got out and dried yourself off quickly, keeping your eyes closed. You hoped that as soon as you got into proper light, you would discover you had imaged them. Then you caught your reflection in the mirror, and saw the scar across your face. "No!" you screamed at your reflection. You remembered what Slade had said: "In case you ever live past this experience I will make sure you remember it every time you look in a mirror." You punched the mirror and pieces fell onto the floor, you looked at your reflection on the shattered mirror through the blood . . . blood? You stared down at your hand and realized it was bleeding, and it hurt. "Pain?" you stared at your hand. But you couldn't feel pain. You stopped feeling it some time ago, but here it was. You stormed out of the bathroom without even putting your hair up (like you always did). As you came out, you quickly found a small first aid kit, and dumped out its contents. You ripped fresh bandages out its packaging and proceeded to wrap up your hand. Once you were done, you still had a lot of bandaging left. You were going to cut of the extra, when you noticed the scars on your arms. You couldn't stand to look at them. You started to hold back tears as a sad rage began to form inside you. You quickly bandaged up the rest of you arm, busying yourself so you could try and control yourself. You then took out another package and did the same to your other arm. You started to swear inside your head, hoping rage would replace the sadness that was about to consume you. "Need help?" you stared at the door. Robin was leaning on the frame casually. There was a moment of silence. "How long are you been watching?" "Long enough. What's wrong?" You stared at Robin for a moment. Your anger ebbed away when you looked at Robin, and your sadness replaced it. "Why not tell him?" a voice inside your head asked, "He's not going to use it against you. He only wants to help." "Robin? I. . . I. . . I need to talk to Raven. Please move," you said, quickly replacing it with what you wanted to say. "Kismet," he said in a slightly more demanding voice. "I need to talk to Raven!" you screamed. You were about to walk through the door, when he put up his arm to block you. He had a look of determination on his face. "Please?" your voice cracked as you tried to resist crying. His features softened and he put his arm down. You muttered, "Thank you," before walking down the hall. You didn't look back at Robin; you couldn't look at his face again. If you did, you would cry. You had to keep your emotions under control. More importantly, you had to talk to Raven. She was in your head, so she would know why it was acting this way.

You managed to avoid everyone in the tower, somehow, before finding your way to Raven's room. You put your hand up and were about to knock on the door, when you stopped to think. Even if Raven was inside, once she knew it was you, she would avoid you. She wouldn't look at you when you woke up, so why would she now? You decided to take a chance and see if she was up on the roof. If you confronted her face to face, without a door in-between the both of you, then she wouldn't be able to avoid you. . . you hoped.
When you got to the roof, you didn't find Raven. You were about to go inside and do something else (bang your head against the wall? It sounded like a good idea at the time) when you decided to wait. You didn't have anything else to do, and thought it was more likely to run into Raven up here than somewhere else. So, you positioned yourself next to the door, so when it opened, the person who opened it (hopefully Raven) would not be able to see you, while at the same time, once they walked through it, you could close it behind them. So, you waited, first for an hour, then, two, and when you had almost reached the third hour, you heard footsteps climbing the stairs. The sound wasn't made by metal, so you knew it wasn't Robin (who was probably looking for you by now). You saw the door open, and Raven stepped out onto the roof. Her head moved form side to side as though she was looking for something. "Or someone," you thought. You knew she was avoiding you, and was making a point not to run into you. You heard her sigh in relief, walk forward, and saw her sit cross-legged while floating. She started to mediate. "Azarath, Mentrion, Zinthos. Azarath Mentrion, Zinthos. Azarath Mentrion Zinthos," she finished her words three times before you interrupted. You didn't bother saying anything, you just walked up to her, but she had already stopped mediating once you took your first step. You sat down beside her, with one leg straight forward, and the other with your knee bent and your leg tucked up to your chest. You folded your arms around your knee and leaned forward on it, as though sitting there casually. "You've been avoiding me Raven," you stated. You waited for a response and got none. "I was hoping we could talk." Still nothing. "We need to talk Raven," you said in a more forceful voice. "Why?" "One three letter one, that's something," you thought. "Ever since I woke up, I've felt. . . different. My emotions are more open to me. My strength has seemed to leave me, even for someone in my current state. And. . . " you trailed off. You didn't need to explain further; you could feel Raven's eyes on your arms where the bandages were. "Raven what's wrong with me? You were in my head, if anyone would know. . ." She got up, turned around, and made her way to the door. Though you were weak, you were still determined. You jumped up and moved in front of her. "Raven, what did I do?" you asked in an angered voice. You blinked quizzically at her for a moment. Her face held an odd look of suppressed hate mixed with fear. You saw your reflection in her eyes for a moment, the scar across your face shone brightly. She turned around once she knew you sensed her emotions. "It's because I look like her, isn't it?" "You know about-?" you cut her off by putting a finger to your head and stating, "she was in my head, after all." Another moment of silence passed. "Would you like to know how it ended?" You moved to the edge of the roof so you could look out at the sun set. You thought that Raven had left, but it just took a moment before her curiosity got the better of her, and she sat down beside you. "After she and Slade conquered the city, they proceeded to take out the East Coast. Once that was reached, she decided that Slade was using her, and killed him." Raven gave out a stifled gasp. "You're surprised?" you said raising an eyebrow, "You met her, you know how ruthless she is." Raven shook her head and you continued the story of the future that would have been. "It was only a matter of time before she had take control of the US and Canada. No one was strong enough to stop her. She destroyed anyone who crossed her path, though after a while few did. She had blood of many people stained on her hands, and she wore it with pride. However, (*cough*, this gets stupid soon, so, bare with me) she had to be stopped. Though, you can imagine, finding one person in an entire continent was difficult. So, it was right after she had also destroyed the South Continent that she was stopped by the Justice League. She didnt go down without a fight though; she took many of the strongest down with her: Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Black Canary, Wild Cat and others whose total was one-third of them. And she only went down because she sent out more energy that she was able to. I can only control as much energy as I send out. She was power hungry and tried to control what she did not have." You waited a few moments, "And they lived happily ever after, the end." "I never knew," stated Raven. "How my powers worked? How much evil lay within me? How the future could have been?" (That the writer watches the Justice League too?) "How much potential you could have had." You looked over at her, but your eyes would not meet. "Raven, she was evil, she reached her limit because she was power hungry. I'm not. I've already done a lot of good with my powers. I honestly think that I can use them to help the world instead of destroying it." "I sorry!" Raven yelled at you (remember, this is what Raven would sounds like, though she doesn't really yell, I don't know what else to call it). From her voice you can tell that she almost crying, almost, but not quite. "Why? You've only helped me Raven, without you I would have died. I wouldn't be able to-" "No, you don't understand!" she yelled so she could hold back tears. "You won't be able to! I saved your life, but in order to do that, I had to cut you off from your powers, sever your reach from their source! You'll never be able to use them again!" Then Raven, who was starting to levitate random object around her, flew to the roof entrance, where the door flew open and shut with a loud bang behind her. You sat in stunned silence. Raven's words echoed in your head, "You'll never be able to use your powers again!" "Never?" You looked at your hands. "What good am I to this world then?" you said in disgust. "What good can come from these hands? What good can come from my existence?"

So... does it work. You have to understand that in the last quiz, Kismet didn't know what Raven and Robin did (only the three of them know now!). But now she knows the truth. Wonder what she'll do now... well, some of you already know ;| Oh, and that weird sotry about the Guardian was what would have happened if Kismet joined Slade instead of... something else. Very soon (in a couple weeks) Kismet's past will be revealed, down to the details. But next week we have something else. We get to find out how much Kismet's powers mean to her.
