MEMO /\ So we left off with Koji ruining your chances of escape by telling Daniel that they couldn't take you out with them. Daniel snorted and shoved you into Koji, then brushed past buttoning his shirt. "Don't let her get into any trouble, I'll be back in a bit." "Wait!" Koji shouted pushing you aside. "I'm not baby-sitting! Daniel I have things to do too!" But it was too late, you heard a door bang downstairs and Koji turned back to you, furious. "It's not my fault, I want to go home!" you spat. "Come on, you might as well have dinner," he grunted taking your hand and dragging you downstairs.

Bastard!! Now I'm stuck with him till Daniel comes back!

Down in the dinning room dinner was again laid out on the table. Koji shoved you in the general direction of a table and walked into what appeared to be the butler's pantry. He came back with a large glass of dark red something. "What plans did you have?" you asked politely. "I had a er, business proposition, to discuss with some other vampires. On neutral ground," he added seeing your confused look. "In one of the clubs downtown, I don't know how long they'll wait for me though, well, heh, probably a while. What would you be doing?" "Its a Saturday, after clubbing Friday, probably dinner with the girls, then a movie night or something." "You're in a horror movie now," he said sipping the blood. "What were you going to discus?" you asked, controlling your gag reflex and looking away. "Buying another club, on the west side, and making it neutral too." "Vampires own clubs?" "We own a lot of things, but vampire owned clubs are vampire only, so don't worry about wandering into one. Whats your name?" "____. Would you have killed me, if you'd seen me at the club?" "No, but I rarely actually kill, most of us rarely kill, there's no need, and police are more disturbed by a chain of murders than apparent robberies. Of course we are very territorial about our hunting grounds, that's why Sasha chased Daniel into your house, he'd accidentally crossed onto their side of the street and a group of them went after him." "He said that they were out of their boundaries at my house." "Yeah, well he ran pretty far, your neighborhood is controlled by a gremlin with some serious attitude problems." "A gremlin?!" "Yeah, small creature, lives in the sewers, eats house pets mostly. It was probably very upset to see six vampires coming running down its street at night."

Koji looked down at his watch and growled, "What's taking him so long? He better not have gone out for the night! I'm so late, you were fine here all day by yourself, what could you do now?" He got up and paced around the room, then looked at you, "Tell him I had to go alright?" "I'll leave him a note." He laughed good naturedly, "Put all ideas of running away out of your little head, if you managed to get out of the house without seriously hurting yourself you'd be in an even worse position than you are now. We are in the very worst part of the city, there's a crackhouse across the street, next to the bordello, the police are afraid to come down here; there are no taxis and no safe places from which to call one. If you got out you'd be dead and worse in less than an hour." You shivered and looked around, when you looked back at the door he was gone. A minute later there was a bang from upstairs, just like the one last night. 'He must come in up there,' you thought as you got up. You ran up the stairs and turned to your right, you went down the hallway, past your room to where it turned a corner, in the corner there was a large window, you tried to pull it up but it was too heavy. Looking down you saw a dark shape in the yard; it stood there a moment, looking around, then jumped over the wall and disappeared.
Stupid Koji left me alone!
