Where I Belong Jussi69 and you : ch. 2 Why did MY sky have to fall?

It is amazing how just one day can change your entire world as you knew it. You watched your mother battle depression for as long as you could remember. When you were two your father was killed in a automobile accident and she never recovered from it. You were born in Texas but after his death she packed up a few belonging, sold everything else and bought tickets for the first available flight out of the country; Helsinki, Finland.
She found the two of you a modest flat on the second floor of a quaint little building. The second floor was divided into two flats, the other flat was occupied by a very nice couple with two sons who were seven and one. Anita was quick to welcome the two of you into her family. When your mother was working or too depressed to get out of bed, Anita would bring you over to their flat and take care of you. Ville and yourself became fast friends and you looked up to him like he was your brother. As you grew older Ville would let you tag along with him and his friends as they explored every corner of Helsinki.
You watched as his dream of being a rock star became a reality. You were sitting in the kitchen of the Valos flat talking with Anita when Ville ran in completely out of breath. HIM *gasp* record deal *gasp* got it *gasp* he panted out trying to form a sentence. Ville, calm down and tell us what is going on. his mother chuckled handing him a glass of water. He sat down and gulped down the cool liquid. We got the record deal. HIM is going to record an album and tour, the whole lot. We are going to be real rock stars! he exclaimed with a wide grin on his face. Ville that is so awesome! your going to be like Gene Simmons and spit blood and breathe fire! you laughed and hugged him tightly. I have to leave in a month to record and promote the album. he said quietly looking into your eyes. They said we may be gone for a year. he added running a hand through your long hair.
A lump formed in your throat and tears collected into pool in your eyes. You cant leave, who will teach me to drum? I dont want to be here without you! you yelled through your tears and ran from the flat. Your young heart was torn.
You wanted to be happy for him as his dream was coming true but it was breaking your heart to think you would have to live without your only true friend. Ville was the hand that held your fragile existence together. He was the one that wiped your tears away and the one you could tell everything to, Ville was your everything....It had been six months since Ville and the guys had left. You had quite a collection of postcards and strange souvenirs that they would send to you from all the different countries they had visited. It was difficult but you managed to get along without them there.
You awoke one morning with a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach. You went into the kitchen and begun to make breakfast for you and your mother. You poured a cup of coffee and took it to your mothers room. As you entered the room the smell of alcohol was so strong it burned your eyes. You noticed the many empty bottles on the floor and your mother laying on her bed. You walked up to the bed to wake her and give her the coffee. Mom, its morning. You have to be at work in an hour. you said as you reached out to shake her from her sleep. When you touched her skin you recoiled from the cold. She felt as if she were frozen and she was very pale. Tears formed in your eyes and heat crept up the back of your neck. Mom please wake up! you screamed, shaking her violently as if to shake the life back into her but it was too late...Villes mother heard your screams and came to see what was going on. Come child, you shouldnt be in here. she said fighting her own tears as she took you to her flat and called the authorities.
Her death was ruled as accidental alcohol poisoning but sometimes you wondered if maybe she just got sick of living with the heartache. You were sent back to Texas to live with your grandmother. You wrote letters every week to Ville, and guys and Villes family. You never received one letter from anyone in Finland, and after two years of writing you just gave up and tried to move on.
*sniffle* how sad!
