Dark Nights 22, Confusion

MEMO /\. Serious tears of sadness right now, I got 28 ppl to rate for the last quiz, (and this involved me sending the link to all my friends who were on line and having them send it to others as well as all of you who voted- still only 28 ppl) BUT I didnt make the HRL, it think its cuz they werent all on the same day they were over last night, but still within 24 hours. So if you at all love me or my characters (any of us!!!) youll rate this quiz a 5 and help me stop crying!!!! (cuz that was seriously depressing not to make it when it was rated a 4.71, but apparently not fast enough)~~end of ranting~~~ You looked after him, even though he was long gone, your fingers pressed to your lips. 'What just happened?' you thought dreamily as your mind drifted. There was an odd tingling sensation running through you limbs for no apparent reason and your mind was foggy. 'I half wish he was selfish,' you thought before shaking off these feelings and trying to steel your resolve. 'I will not be manipulated like this!' you told yourself firmly, but the smell of his cologne kept coming to mind, and the look in his eyes when he said "I'd do anything for you." No matter how hard you tired, you couldnt get the thought of him out of your mind. Determined to find some distraction you made your way downstairs, careful to avoid both Koji and Daniel.

Decidedly hungry after all these hours without food, you snuck into the butlers pantry and rooted around for something to eat. When you stepped back from the cabinet, cereal in hand you stepped into something firm but soft. "Hey!" you said as a hand closed over your eyes. "Guess who," came the soft whisper in your ear. "Koji?" you squeaked in surprise. There was a low chuckle as he spun you around. You could see he was smiling, for once, and it lit his whole face. "You gave me quite a scare earlier," he continued in a whisper. "But, but-" "Shh, just listen for once. Daniel said today that he was thinking of dividing up his land, that he would let me rule over part. I could have my own place, my own servants; I could- take care of someone else for a change. And I just thought, maybe I could take care of you." "Koji-" "Just let me finish. When Clarice was here, everything I did to protect you, I did for you, not because Daniel told me to or anything like that. I just want you to- think about it. So will you, think about it?" He smiled again and kissed you on the top of the head before slipping out of the room, leaving you shocked and speechless, a box of Cheerios still clutched in your unresponsive hand.

You made your way back upstairs, still holding the long forgotten food, trying to think of your situation objectively. You failed miserably. What am I going to do?! You exclaimed as you dropped down onto your bed. Thats what Im here for, a voice responded from on top of your wardrobe. Jerking up abruptly, you spotted a pair of glowing purple eyes watching from the shadows above the dresser.
