Youko Kurama - [ Ice Princess and Theif ]

A quick description: Your name is: Shizumi You're an ice/water, light demon, but you have a human feature. You have silky long black hair that reaches just below your hips. Part of your hair is tied back into a bun (you can imagine Pluto from Sailor Moon xD). You have Sapphire blue eyes and just the right skin color, not too pale or too dark. You stood about six feet and you have a perfect figure. You're actually 200 years old, but you look 20. You are generous and mild-tempered, and you love your people dearly. You're extremely beautiful which can make you a really deadly person at times. You love to help those who are needed and have extreme fighting skills. You're born as a princess of the Ice Palace. Your father, Lord Kai, is the ruler of the Northern Parts of the Makai. Your family, the Sapphire clan had lived for over a thousand years. The family treasure, Sapphire Pendant, had been pass down from many generations. The pendant beholds a power of divine; anyone who posesses it may use it for good or bad. The pendant is sealed in a sacred shrine in the palace, only the emperor, queen, whoever that stood a high position in the Ice Palace have the ability to control the power of the Sapphire Pendant. Did you get all that?

Blood, tornture, slaughter----that's what there is everyday. Everyday I faced with numerous of wounded soldiers back from the Southern Mountains. Since when did this started to happen.......? You watched as nurses and maids from the palace hustling around to tend those soldiers. Either they have a missing leg, or one of their arms and fingers are chopped off. Your father had been engaged with severe loss of soldiers lately. There was no way to help, though. During the last few weeks it seemed like those feisty youkais are at it again-----stealing and harming from innocent people that resides here. You gave an exasperated sigh.
"Miss Shizumi will he be alright?" one of the soldier ask. You examine another wounded soilder that just came back from this bloody battle. There was a big gash across his stomach, but it wasn't deep. Still the soilder groan in pain.
"Yes he will, I'll tell the maids to give him some of these. Just smear some across his wound and wrap it up in a bandage, tell them that" you said giving the man herbs-like plants.
"Th....thank you!" the soilder said. You got up and walk back to the palace hall. This was the fourth week that you're around tending wounded soldiers. Father has been sending troops out for some mission you don't know for sure. Sometime you wish all this war would just stop, so you can all live in peace....
"Shizumi dear---" You turn around and see your mother. She was young, probably about in her mid-30s. Your mother has light brownish hair with golden highlights in the front. And a pair of lovely blue eyes that you inherit from. She was wearing a crown that resembles the Queen of Ice Palace, and a long kimono western sort of dress that reaches the floor.
"Mother---" you began.
"Are the soldiers alright?" she asked.
"They are wounded pretty badly. I guess the youkai they were facing were too strong for them to handle..." you replied.
"I see. You know, Shizumi.....You don't have to tangle yourself in this. Things are getting dangerous----it's best for you to say in the palace at all times. Where there would be guards around" your mother said.
"But I want to help, mother" you smiled, "I believe it's my duty to do what's right for the people of Ice Palace....I don't want to see father stressed out from what he already exposed to." Your mother smiled. She took one your your hand and held it in hers.
"But there is something I don't understand...." you began. She looked up at you questionably. "This had never happened before, why are there suddenly so many youkais invading these days....? Even the ones that father had sent to prison escaped--- I have a bad omen about this...."
She sighed, "I heard from father that the theives are at it again. The ruler of the south asked permission from father to lend them a helping hand..."

Humph, theives..... you thought. "Those theives had been trespassing sacred temples and palaces. The prisoners are escaped dued to their help. That's why I don't want you to get involved in this, Shizumi. Those theives aren't the ones we've faced before. They are far more merciless....." I absolutely detest theives.... If there's one thing you cannot stand, it's theives. Such low class, transient youkais who make their living by stealing treasure and food and slaughter everyday. You hated them. Normally your father would just send out guards to seize them down and lock them away in prison. But this time they've all escaped.....by some other theives intruding around the area. Anger rose up inside you and you narrowed your eyes. "Are they after the Sapphire Pendant?" you suddenly asked. "How do you know?" "Natural instincts, mother. It's pretty obivous.....there were youkais trepassing our palace few days ago at night." Your mother lowered her head. "They are....it's hard to keep them out. We are setting up a force field around the Sapphire Shrine right now....." she trailed off, You notice how she didn't want to talk too much about the issue with you. Mainly because it was dangersome, also..... "Come on now, you must be tired. Why don't you go back to your room and rest?" "What about the pendant?" you asked worryingly. "It's alright. Your father and I got it take care of" your mother said to you. What to you thinnnk?

You went into your bedroom and rest (Think of any decorations you like if you wish). "The days are so tiring...so many youkais are hooked on the item Sapphire Pendent" you muttered to yourself. Mother said that it contains great power. Any demon who posess it can use its power aganist anything, there will be no way to stop it. As a princess, you were accustomed to become a priestess aganist anyone who tries to steal the family gem. Basically you were used to all the fighting, but you don't use them often though. You heard the main gate to the access into the palace being opened. Footsteps could be heard coming in. "Wonder who that would be..." You walked towards the window and stuck your head out to look. There were officers along with bunch of soldiers coming in to the Palace. You noticed they are from the Southern part of the Makai. "Hrm....I don't usually come around this year...wonder if father knows" you said to yourself. Just then someone knock on your bedroom door. "Come in" you said. A woman looked about 23 walked in. She has ruby colored hair and eyes, and was wearing a armor of some sort, she was holding a hemlet in her arm and carrying a sword in another. "Ruby?" you said. "Yes, Miss Shizumi" she replied. You sighed, "How was it....?" "Well, good. Bad. Some old thing. Though the batch of youkais are getting stronger I must admit." She tucker a strand of her hair behind her ear, only some of them came falling back. "It's hard for you to be a protector of me, a guardian for the Ice Palace, and a maid" you said. Ruby chuckled, "I don't mind. I'm quite used to all of this." You smiled, you and Ruby have known each other since you two were little. She was first introuduced to you as your maid and guardian. But you never felt like she was. To you she was just like an older sister, a close friend. For the past few days she was sent to investigate why all the prisoners had escaped. "Tell me about it." "The work is not done by any youkai....someone more powerful. Though I must say....." Ruby trailed off. You cocked your head. "The infamous theif....." ******You woke up the next day with the sun shining through the glass window. You got up, did your morning routine, and decided to head out to the gardens. You skipped through a few tress and finally landed on a branch where you could look out at the Makai landscape. You inhaled the morning atmosphere and sighed. "What are you doing standing so up high, Shizumi?" You looked down and smiled at your father. (Imagine him however you want, he's in his 40s. Yes, young!) "Good morning father" you jumped down and bowed. He patted your head. You looked up at him, although his expression shows a hearty smile, you could tell deep inside that he was stressed. There were dark cicles under his eyes. He must be overworking himself again. "You should take the time and rest, father." "I'll be fine, Shizumi. Don't worry. Besides, the commonwealths needs my help. Thousands of youkais are encroaching around this area and they must be stopped." He looked out to the gardens. "I could still remember....when you were about 8 years old, you stood on the same branch, looking out to the sky....." he began. You smiled. "Then you would whine on how you cannot get down...!" your father chuckled. "And everytime I had to help you down from the tree. It was your favorite place, you told me you love to see the view of the Makai....." He turned to you and tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear. "And now, you're all grown up. Those memories seemed like yesterday...." "Lord Kai, your meeting will be ready in ten minutes." A guard appeared behind him. "Ah, yes. I will be right there." He waved the guard off. then he turned his focus back to you. "I have a meeting this morning I must attend" he said. "I heard the Southern ruler came last night. Is it them?" you asked. He nodded, "It seemed like not only our area was attacked, but the Southern area too. Their place is more disastrous than ours right now." "May I go to the meeting with you?" "Of course, I don't see why not" he smiled. "Miss Shizumi, Lord Kai wants you down to the main hall right away" the maid said to you. Must be something about demons attacking them and need our help.....Oh well you thought as you headed toward the great meeting room along with your father. Everyone bowed when your father entered. You looked over his shoulders and found five members of the Southern clan seated along the table. You assumed they must hold some high position in their land. You stood beside your father listening to the members talkig about associating with them to dismantle some kind of theives in Makai. "They're starting to intrude again across this place?" your father said sternly. "Yes...there were a large number last time. We would be greatful if you would lend us a hand Lord Kai" one member said. You look over at your father, and he nodded, "Alright. Maybe with our soldiers combine we would stand a chance. When is it?" he asked. "Tonight..." but before he could finish the sentence a guard barged in. "The youkais...they're coming!They're here!" he shouted. "They're here....?" you whispered. "I didn't expect them to come in the morning....Must becasue everyone is still asleep and it would be easier to attack....Send out guards and soldiers to the field!" Lord Kai demanded. "Yes sir!" the soldiers said and ran out. "I should go too" you said. "Shizumi. Go back to the palace right away" your father said. "This is too dangerous." "I intend to find out what exactly is going on. Besides, they would easily take the Sapphire Pendant away" you replied as you ran out the hall. "Shizumi wait!" your father yelled after you, but you were already gone.
Evil, evil youkais. Wait till I demolish you into pieces....
You ran outside to the field. You could hear weapons being fired and few youkais roaming around in the distance. Some of the guards already ran out and tried to fend off the demons. "When will this ever stop??" you said in annoyance as you ran towards the field. "Lady Shizumi, what are you doing here? You can't be here it's too dangerous!" one of the guards shouted. You ignored him and look out, more youkais are coming straight at the palace. They don't seemed posessed or anything. By their way of dressing you noticed they are theives. "Let me borrow this!" you said to the guard as you grab the bow and arrow. "Purifying Arrow Of Light!" you shouted, aiming the arrow at the demons. They're eliminated in one shot. You saw some heading toward the small shrine where the Sapphire Pendent had been stored. "Darn, those theives.....!" you grunted and head toward the temple before them. "Ice Shards!" you summoned ice shards and torn the youkais to pieces. "Take another step towards the shrine and I'll assure you...." you said in a montonous voice and formed another batch of ice shards in your palm. Theey growled but leaped off. Just then you saw soldiers being knock out from inside. Someone's in there....? But there's a force field....How! Instantly you recognize the force field had been broken. You took a step inside, dead soldiers are lying on the floor, blood flowing everywhere. You narrowed your eyes. Looks like no ordinary demon could do this...... Then you heard a slight moving sound at the end of the room. "Who goes!" You aimed your arrow at the direction the sound came from. Then there was a beif silence. You walk towards it and saw a silver fox, slightly bigger than the normal ones. "A fox....? You've got to be kidding me!" you murmured. The animal made awful screech sound that made your head ache. And then it flew out the door with something glittered around its neck. You notice it was the Sapphire Pendant. "The pendent!" you shouted and ran after the silver fox.
Why would a fox want the pendent for?

You tried to catch up to the mysterious fox but the animal was just too fast for you. Few minutes later you lost trace of the fox. "Where did it go----!?" "AAAHHHHH!!!!!" you heard guards screaming not far away. "The theif! It's him!" some other guard shouted. You saw maids and guards started to run away. What's going on here? you thought. "Lady Shizumi watch out!" a maid came and block the attack for you. You gasped at the sudden attack as blood poured out from the maids back. "Are you alright?! Hang in there!" It was no use, she was dropped dead instantly. You saw some silver filament on her. "Pity.....I guess no one's here but you now" a deep, masculine voice said. Smoke was engulfing your sight so you couldn't see who it was very well. Then a gliter of blue appeared, you noticed it was the Sapphire Pendant. The the smoke faded away, reavealing a man wearing white toga with fox ears and tail. He stood about 7 ft, very muscular and tall. You immediatly recgonized he was the silver fox you saw earlier at the shrine because of the pendent he has in his hand. "You....." you began. OKAY everyone I'll have to end it here!
