When Sister Mercy let her twelve prisoners loose, Mariah continued to the tunnels. Like last time, she made her way through the passages and slipped through to Sister Mercy’s secret lair.
Sister Mercy was sitting down, and the big screen was turning from fuzzy to blue. Then three people appeared. Mariah was about to witness an Assassin conference-call.
The first assassin was a young girl. Maybe Mariah’s age. She had curly red hair and freckles. She had a martini in her hand and was swirling it rather evil-like. She must have been twenty-one or older, or just underage drinking.
The second man was the old man with the scars that Mariah had seen earlier. He was eating a muffin. Muffins of course, was the evil pastry. He ate half of it in a bite.
The third person was a man as well. He looked to be in his thirties and was wearing a gothic tuxedo. He held a glass of wine, Red Pigeon. There was a camera on Mercy’s table, and she had dressed into her assassin outfit. Sister Mercy spoke first.
“Frieda!” Sister Mercy addressed the red-head. “Van Dugan!” she addressed to the man with the gothic tuxedo. “Master Bradley.” She said to the old man with the scars.
“Mercy! Oh, Darling!” Frieda yelled in a high-pitched floozy voice. “Oh Darling, Oh Darling, It has been to long! And, we have much to talk about as well.”
“Yes,” grunted Master Bradley. “We do, and we have to talk more about Project Seven.”
“Of course.” Van Dugan growled. He had a scratchy voice, like a wolf. “We do. And since three of us are busy, only the four of us can talk about it.”
Mercy laughed. “Yes. We do. Project Seven is going smoothly. Mariah will die by my hand tomorrow, and then I will take control of St. Joes. It’s a perfect win-win situation. Then, I will leave the school in someone else’s hands. I have more people to hunt. Two boys and three more girls. And then my troublesome sister. Then, Project Seven will be completed. It’s just an amazing goal.”
“Someone sounds confident.” Van Dugan growled. “It seems like you believe that there are no holes in the plan.”
“Well, it won’t be hard, killing off six kids and a meddlesome librarian.” Frieda giggled. “Your sister is a librarian, right Mercy?”
“Yes. H-”
Master Bradley interrupted. “This is going smoothly. I love the idea that we will take Ohio.”
Frieda added. “Well, we are strong. Each a powerful character.”
“With our powers that we specialize.” Van Dugan laughed. “And the numbers we are. Of course Master Bradley is Agent 1 and I’m Agent 2.”
Sister Mercy added. “I’m Agent 3.”
Frieda smiled. “I’m Agent 6.”
Master Bradley laughed. “We’ve stationed the seven of us at the best cities in Ohio. Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo, Dayton, Akron and Youngstown.
Van Dugan remarked, “Cincinnati is such a good town. It suits me.”
Frieda laughed. “Akron doesn’t suit me at all.”
Master Bradley interjected. “Let’s get back to the topic at hand.
