READ MEMO...or don't. I'm sorry to D.N.Angelfangirl26 who I said I would post two this weekend. But I got the FLU...blek. I'M SO SORRY! I'MMMMMM SSSOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY......
Now, on to the Quiz!!!! (You: finally! Me: I'MMM SOOORRRRRRYYY You: Shut up >.< *)
"I work at an animal shelter!" You exclaimed excitedly.
It was Wednesday, and you had been living with the Sohmas for almost a week, with still no word on Akito's decision. In the company of Tohru, Yuki, and Kyo you walked from school. Today was wonderful-you had done well in school, and you had met Tohrus friends, but best of all, you crushed those fans girls' hearts. Well, served them right for being so stuck up on themselves.
"Soo what were you doing walking to school with Prince Yuki, HUH?!" the one named Minami Kinoshita screeched in your face. She was the vice president of the Prince Yuki Fan Club, and her voice was high and shrill, resembling nails on a blackboard.
"Yeah! We let yesterday and Monday slide as a coincidence, but three days? You better have some reason to walk to school with the Prince!" Mio Yamagishi, or member number one, but in.
Mai Gotou, nicknamed #2, stood to the side. She was the dumber of the three, and spoke last. "You know the rules. You cant speak to the prince unless accompanied by two other members!"
They held their hands on their hips and leaned forward expectantly. "Well?" They questioned in identical nasal voices. They were like the Powerpuff Girls but instead of all having superpowers, they all had an OBSESSION, and I mean OBSESSION, with Yuki.
You couldnt help but snicker. Ahhh, squishing their hopes would be fun. You composed yourself, put on a sappy smile, and sweetened your voice so much it sounded computerized. "The reason Yuki and I were walking to school with each other is because his family kindly invited my to stay with them for a few weeks, while certain circumstances are in effect."
Three jaws dropped simultaneously. They stared at you in disbelief, with their mouths open, too startled to say anything, in that matter, to move at all. "Well, have a nice day! See you later," you said turning around and waving, a secretive smirk spreading on your mouth. You know they wouldnt say anything to anyone, it would make them look like idiots, trying so hard to "protect 'their' Yuki" but failing anyway.
"I thought I heard those fan club girls. God, they sure as hell are annoying." A tall tough-looking girl complained as you passed her on your left. "Hey kid!" she shouted turning toward you at the other side of the hall, those girls aint bothering you are they? You shook your head but continued to examine these two people who stared at you.
The Yankee-like seemed cool, but the person standing beside her sent shivers downs your spine. She had jet-black colored hair and midnight colored eyes. She stared at you with a blank expression, not blinking, or moving. "Strange..." she murmured.
You opened your mouth in question when a familiar voice cut through the air. "________, Uo, Hana!" Tohru yelled eagerly bounding down the hall, waving like a child. When she finally reached where the three of you were standing, she was breathless but maintained the bright smile on her face. "Oh _______, I see you've met my two best friends: Saki Hanajima" she said extending her arms out to the mysteriously dark girl, "and Arisa Uotani."
"Hello, ________" Hanajima spoke in a dark manner, just above a whisper.
"Hey," the Yankee thug uttered coolly, her arm lazily resting on top of her head, which embodied shoulder length blonde hair.
"Hana-chan can sense peoples waves," Tohru explained "And Uo used to be in a gang, but she quit back in junior high," Tohru clarified, beaming her innocent smile even wider. "And Hana- chan, Uo-chan," Tohru said turning toward them, "This is ________ _________. She's living in the Sohma house with me!" she proclaimed happily, welcoming you as a new friend.
"Oh, hey, so that's what you were saying to them? You were telling those Fan Club Freaks off? Nice! That's hilareous! I like your style kid!" Uo, who towered over you by a least four inches, laughed patting you on the back.
"Yes, your waves do seem good, but there's something..." she broke off leaving a silence, which was short lived due to Tohru's remark.
"We should hurry back to class. Sensei will be angry if were late!" Tohru chirped, peeking over her shoulder, as she hurried down the hall with a carefree smile on. She turned and waited for the rest of the small group to catch up, then headed toward the classroom again, humming softly as she strolled down the hall, content with the company she was now holding.
You smiled a bit evilly remembering this morning, but soon replaced the sarcastic smirk with a genuine grin, enjoying the weather as the smell of freshly cut flowers reached you nose. The warm breeze sent small wisps of hair gently against your cheeks, which heated in brilliant light of the sun. You stretched, uplifting you arms as you let out a gentle sigh of comfort.
"So that's where you went off to yesterday" Kyo said randomly, and a bit delayed, referring to your work, and breaking the silence.
"Yup! On Monday too! Or was Kyo-chan too dense too notice?" You eyed him impishly as if he were dumb.
"I KNEW THAT! SHUT UP-" but before Kyo could finish his ranting, you cut him off.
"Hey, do you guys wanna come to come see my work today, Im sure everyone would love you, it would be fun!" You exclaimed turning toward the group, and halting the journey.
Tohru's joyful face fell a bit and her lips sank into a slight frown, "I'm sorry _______, I really wish I could go, Id love to see where you work...but today I have my part time job too." She apologized her eyes dropping to the floor.
Your face scrunched up in thought, as you decided what to do. With a sharp intake of breath, your face lifted, as a brilliant (OK maybe not that brilliant) thought entered your mind. "Today, I'll take Kyo and Yuki to see my 'work environment'." You said making sarcastic hand motions, "Then the next day you have off, you could come to the shelter I work at, and afterwards we could go somewhere!" (OK maybe a really dumb idea, yeah a two-year-old could think of that.)
"That sounds like fun, but what about dinner..."
"'Cmon Tohru, have some fun! Kyo and Yuki are big boys they can make dinner themselves! Please..." You widened your eyes and popped out you bottom lip.
Her expression was that of quilt, before it turned to one of thought. "Ummm...sure! The next day I have off is tomorrow." She contently smiled then looked at the watch that hung from her wrist. She tured on her heel and dashed off waving behind her. "Ahh! Im late! See you tonight! Have fun, be safe!" she chimed cheerily.
You smiled and waved back until you could no longer see her figure rushing away from you. "Now, you said turning back to the boys, Lets go!"
As you walked through the door, the girl behind the registering desk glanced up. "Hey, _________," she routinely addressed, then directed her clear sapphire gaze toward Yuki and Kyo. "You got a boyfriend? Which one is it?" she smiled seductively as you walked closer to her.
You stuck out your tongue at her and playfully slapped her in the arm. "Hey! You know I dont go for that kind of thing Kaora. And at least I have friends, all you do hang on the computer all day." Kaora put her hand to her chest and opened her mouth in mock anger and shock. She was about your age, 15 or so, and had brown hair which glinted red in the sun. It would probably reach slightly past her shoulders if she ever let it down from the two neat buns it was always held in. But thats the way she was, nice, but an extreme perfectionist when it came to organization. Everything had to fit in its exact spot in its specified location, no matter what it was, which made the fact that a computer, or maybe a filing cabinet, was her best friend, no surprise. "Kaora, this is Yuki, and Kyo," you said extending you arms to designate each of them. "'Theyre friends, nothing more," you hinted back jokingly, "and they wanted to see my work!"
Until now, Kyo had been surprisingly quiet, which was very unusual for him. But no bliss can last forever. "What do you mean wanted?! You made us come!"
"Well, I didnt know I was that strong to make you come here," you said cockily, or "maybe its just that Kyo-kyos weak."
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALK-"
"Kyo, it was a joke." You said poking his side, "Now, first we have the small animals like mice, hamsters, and gerbils down this hall." You said tugging Yuki and Kyo by the hand.
Kyo jerked his hand out of yours and backed away a bit. "I'll just stay here, just dont take to long. I already see enough rats to last a lifetime. He said impatient, and a bit uneasily, with anger apparent as he inferred Yuki. Yuki smiled slightly at Kyos obvious discomfort and walked briskly down the hall with you, turning a bend to see a row of furry little critter cages lining the wall. Many of them were nocturnal, but at your entrance, the closed eyes of the animals peeked open to inspect the intruders. "Its surprising how many people actually give their small animals to shelters." You explained rather loudly. The squeaks of rodents intensified, surrounding you as you made you way down the hall. They pressed theyre noses against the metal wiring that made their cages, somehow attracted to Yuki. He pressed his fingers against the worn metal of the cage that belonged to an exceptionally cute gray and white mouse. It then did something no animal in this hall had ever done before, it licked him.
Yuki cast his gaze back at your questioning look, then smiled. "This is actually an addition to our curse. They just come to us.To explain why this happened, Miss _______,is still unknown. But it is not a fluke. It's the same with cats for Kyo." He paused, "Cats, such worthless creatures." his voice holding unending disgust. The chattering had ceased greatly as many of the animals had returned to peaceful slumber after accustoming to the attracting feeling Yuki gave off. You paced the cages a few times more, pointing out to Yuki your favorite ones.
"Miss ________..." Yuki started from behind you. You turned and smiled aknowledging him to go on. "I was wondering if tomorrow, I may be so honored as to be included in your outing with Tohru. IIt would seem like a perfect to get to know you better. And perhaps..." He smiled gently, "perhaps..." you waited, but nothing followed. His words seemed to drift away into nohtingness leaving nothing but an air of questions to engulf you.
"Yes! That would be so much fun Yuki-kun! I would love it if you came! I'm sure Tohru would worry less too."
The feeling in the room became serious, resting a great tension on your shoulders. "That's good." He whispered mysteriously before taking an undaunted step toward you. "Because if you didn't, I would make you." you took a step back, "All the things, I would do," his voice lowered, "to make you let me come with you." You felt the wall solidly push up against your back. Yuki lifted his hands so they rested on the wall, one on each side of your head. He bent over you and leaned in, his forearms against the wall supporting him. His bangs rubbed slightly against your forehead, his piercing violet eyes never leaving yours. "I would do anything to be with you." He mummered, his warm breath brushing against your skin sending a tingle throughout your body.
You clenched you eyes shut and blushed, your face burning with embarrassment from being so close to the Prince. Suddenly the warm presence of Yuki's breath on you face disappeared and you opened your eyes still blushing like crazy. He had drawn back, a smile on his face, as you covered your cheeks and mouth, holding in anything stupid you might've said. "I'm...just kidding, he said softly in that voice that held an uncountable number of secrets behind it. But whether he was kidding or not left you standing behind in wonder, as he made his way to the front, silently beckoning you to fall under the spell of question that this mysterious boy had put on almost everyone he met.
