My Heart is Yours Forever (Frau love story) ~07 ghost~ Chapter 6 *The Promise*

You wake up and open your eyes. You look around the room and see the black…coffin. Now you remember where you are. You’re in Frau’s room. You then remember how you fell asleep last night. You feel yourself blush. You look out of the window, its still dark. You look at a clock hanging on the wall, its 5:00 in the morning. You turn over and see that the coffin is open, and you can see Frau. You quietly get out of the bed and walk towards the…coffin. Then kneel down beside it. He looks so cute when he is sleeping! Oh jeez…you can’t keep having these feelings! You look at him and his face cringes a little and his arm twitches. You look at his arm and it has some weird marking on it. That might what be causing him his pain. You haven’t perfected your healing zaiphon yet, but you weren’t terrible at it. You carefully pick up his arm with one hand and gently set your other hand on top of the marking. A purple light glows.

“Oi, what are you doing, brat?” Frau asks. This startled you since you were really focusing on healing, you squeaked and fell backwards. Frau looks at you curiously.

“U-umm, I was just…well your arm, it looked like it was hurting….so I tried to make some of the pain go away…” you say.

Frau looks at his arm and then back to you and smiles.

“Thank you.” He says.

You look at him. “U-uh your welcome.” You reply.

Frau looks out the window and then he sweat drops.

“Why are you up so early brat?!?” he asks.

“Ummm I don’t know.” You say. He then lays back down in his coffin thing.

“Go back to sleep…it’s too early to be awake.” He states.

“Hmph, for you.” you say.

“What? Is this how early you usually get up?” Frau asks.

“Pretty much. And, aren’t you supposed to be up already Bishop?” you say a mater-of-factly.

He looks at his clock and his eyes widen.

“You are troublesome, brat.” He states as he gets up and turns the light on. Now that you can see him clearly he is wearing a ripped up black shirt. You can see almost every one of his muscles. You blush and turn away.

“I’m going to go change.” You say as you get up and leave the room, the nuns were waiting outside.

“Ai-chan! We washed your clothes for you!” a nun with blonde hair says.

“Arigatou.” You say and smile. You take your clothes and go change in one of the bathrooms. You look at your hair. It’s a mess! You use your fingers to brush it out. Now it looks at least half way decent. You then slide your boots on and head out the door.

You head back to Frau’s room and there is a note on the door. You take it off and read it.

Brat,

I have to go get ready for the service. You’re welcome to come. If not, just hang out for a few hours and then be at the fountain by 9:00 to take a tour with the other two brats. And don’t try and run away, because I’ll catch you.

Tch. Like he could catch you! Anyway, other two brats? Oh, he must mean that other boy called Teito, and that girl named Istalri. You shrug and then walk into the room. You make the bed and then leave the room again. You decided that you would go take a look at the service. You walk down the hallway and then ask a nun that was walking past you where the service was. She told you and you continued your walk. There was no door, so you just stood outside of the chapel behind a wall. You peek in and see a whole bunch of people praying with their eyes closed. You look at the alter and see that Frau, Labrador, and Castor are all there along with some other bishops that you didn’t know about. You felt kinda weird being there. So you quietly backed away and walked down the hallway.

~Frau’s Pov~

You’re in the middle of the service when you look up and see Ai peeking her head around the corner. She is looking around the room then she looks up and looks at all the bishops you move your head so she didn’t noticed that you had seen her. She moved her head again a piece of her hair fell over her shoulder. Then she turns back behind the corner. You smile to yourself and went back on ‘focusing’ on the service.

~Ai’s POV~

You are walking down the hallway when you see a bright light coming from a little ahead. You keep walking towards and when you get there you look to the side and see a garden filled with flowers. You walk into the garden and you gawk at how beautiful it is. You walk around look at all of the flowers; they were glistening in the light. You smile and sit down in the middle of the garden; maybe it’s not so bad here. You remember Ayanami’s voice ringing through your head. You shudder, and then remember what Frau told you. He said, “I will protect you.” And he said it so sincerely. You blush a little bit. Ok, you know that you are getting feelings for him. But is that such a good idea? You hear the church bell ring 7 times. So its 7 o’clock now. You are starting to dose off a little then you deicide that you will just wait here until 9 o’clock.

~1 hour and 45 mins later~

You here voices around you and you open your eyes. You see three nuns. One of them was the one who gave you your clean clothes this morning. You sit up and look around.

“What time is it?” you ask.

“Its 8:45” a nun with blue hair replies. You quickly get up.

“Arigatou!” you shout as you start running towards the fountain.

You get to the fountain. Good, they aren’t here yet. You sit down on the ledge of the fountain, and hear a splash behind you. You turn around and look at the mermaid that you saw before when you were trying to escape.

“Hello, Im Ai.” You say kindly with a smile.

She smiles back and sings at you and leans on the ledge of the fountain. Your guessing that was the only way that she could talk. You look over and see that Istalri and Teito are walking towards you. You smile and the mermaid dives back into the water. The mermaid peeks back over the edge and sees Castor and then jumps into his arms singing beautifully.

“Hello, Razette! How are you?” Castor asks the mermaid.

Razette sings again and looks at Istalri who half waves at her. Then she jumps back and bumps into Frau.

“What was that for, brat?” Frau says.

Then Istalri turns to him angrily.

“I am not a brat, and the mermaid startled me is all!” She says and looks to the mermaid and back to Frau, they have the same faces. You sweat drop a little. Ok, you have a feeling these two aren’t going to get along very well.

Then Labrador walks up to us and smiles his usual calm smile. The three bishops stand close together.

“*Sigh* Three new brats, two of which keep trying to run off. This feels more like a daycare center than a church.” Frau says and smirks at you. You stick your tongue out at him. Castor and Labrador smile at the comment.

“We are not brats, how many times must I tell you!? And why can’t we leave anyways? I thought this was a church, not a prison” she retorts.

“We are not keeping you prisoner. We just know that you need help, and we can not just stand by and let you get hurt. It’s not the church’s way.” Labrador says.

“And I can’t just stand by and let everyone else get hurt. That’s not my way. The whole reason I took the…Eye is because I was tired of people getting hurt! And…oh, never mind. I’m tired of arguing.” She mumbles. The boy named Teito then puts a hand on her shoulder, calming her down.

“Let’s just drop this for now and continue our walk, eh?” I ask trying to move on with the walk that we are all supposed to be going on.

Istalri looks at you and she looks at your arm….uh-oh. You didn’t cover it up. You kinda forgot about it since it doesn’t hurt. You’ll have to wrap it up later.

“Where’d you get that mark?” She asks looking at the zaiphon mark on your arm.

You hurry and think of an excuse.

“Uh, childhood injury. Now, where were we? Oh yeah, let’s get walking!” You say enthusiastically and march off. You then look by you and Frau is walking by you. You smile keep walking, not really knowing where you are going. Then you hear Teito speak up from behind you. You turn around to look at him.

“Do you guys want to go to the library?” he asks the group.

We all shrug and start to walk off to where the library apparently is. Frau is still walking right beside you, he is standing so close to you that your shoulders are touching his arm. You just now notice how tall he is. You look up at him. Your goes to a little bit below his shoulder. You walk get to a door and walk in. It’s huge!!! There are a whooooole bunch of books here. And the bookshelves are humungous! You see Teito Istalri and Labrador walk off into a different aisle. You, Frau, and Castor walk off into another aisle and then Castor then looks at Frau and walks to a different aisle with a doll dressed in a nuns outfit following him.

You start looking at the books. There mostly biblical stuff and history, but there are other books too.

“I’m glad that you didn’t try to run away.” You hear Frau say. You turn around and look at him.

“Hmph, you wouldn’t have been able to catch me anyways.” You told him. He smirked at you.

“It means that you trust us more.” He says kindly. You blush and turn away.

“U-Ummm, well….” you stutter.

Then you feel arms wrap around your waist. You turn your head and see Frau had his forehead resting on your shoulder. You must be at least 5 shades of red. He pulls you closer to him.

“F-Frau?” you ask.

“Well what?” he asks, trying to make you finish your last comment.

“Im just…worried, that’s all.” You say telling him the truth.

“Im not going to let Ayanami get his hands on you.” He states.

You smile slightly and he turns you around so you are facing him. He lifts your chin so you can’t look away from him. He moves his face closer to yours and your lips are almost touching. You feel you face get hot.

“I promise.” He says and closes the little gap that was in between your lips. You’re surprised and just stand there for a minute but then you kiss back. You remember what you said about not having any attachments…well, that didn’t work out very well for you

You both pull away for some much needed air and he smiled at you. Your heart skipped a beat and you smiled back. You see Castor and Labrador walking through the aisle walking towards you. You quickly turned towards the bookshelf and started looking through books.

“So!!! Let’s find a book so I can read!” You say a little over cheerfully.

You pull a random book off of the shelf, you are about to open it when Frau snatches it away from you.

“Ummm, i was about to read that.” you say confused.

“*nervous laughter*, I want to read it more, anyways, you should find a more interesting book to read.” He says nervously. Now you’re curious about that book.

“But, that one does look interesting.” You say and reached for the book.

“Its probably not!” he says.

“Oh no!!! That kid is about to fall off the ladder on the shelf!!! You shout pointing behind Frau.

Frau looks back and you smirk, taking the book out of his hands.

“Hey!” he shouts.

“So what’s so interesting about this book?” you ask as you open up the book. Frau makes a dive for the book and you move slightly so he misses and lands on the floor. You open up the book all of the way and you see……..girls in bikinis? You slam the book shut and Frau gets off of the floor; you calmly walk up to him and smack him upside the head with the book.

“OOUUCH!” he shouts.

“How did you ever get to become a bishop?!?” you ask.

Frau nervously laughs and takes the book from you. Then Castor walks up to him and takes the book away from him and one of Castor’s nun-dolls kick Frau in the head.

Frau and Castor start arguing over the book, Frau whining for him to give it back.

You start laughing as they argue, then you laugh harder and harder until you are leaning over on one of the bookshelves for the support. All three of the bishops looked at you confused.

“You…..ha-ha….guys are….hahahaha…hilarious!!!” you say as you continue laughing. Frau smiles at you and you start to calm down a little. You haven’t laughed like this in a while, and it feels good to.
