Shadow of a resistance (Shadow the hedgehog love story)PART 7

It was about two weeks since Garin's little anouncement of a traitor.Things in the resistance weren't going as smoothly as you wished it would be.Friends were distrusting of friends,family were distrusting of family,anyone who had close bonds were now waning.All because of the fear and distrust for anyone who might be the traitor.It broke you apart to see the resistance like this.

One day,you were sitting in a chair with your hand on your forehead,thinking as hard as you could to figure out what to do about this,Shadow was leaning against a wall with his eyes closed along with Jix who was in a corner.You sigh and they both looked up at you. "I don't have any idea how to deal with this" you said sadly and shook your head,Shadow and Jix looked at you sympathetically "none of us would have expected these turn of events,your highness" said Jix and looked at Shadow "I never would've expected someone like him to come and help" he said,Shadow glared at him "i've never expected these turn of events either" he said coldly but then looked at you with a smirk "but i'm glad I did" you bite your lip and feel your face heat up.Suddenly,Morbrid walked in with an exageratted look "okay,this is ridiculous! WHERE in the heck is my axe?" He asked,you look at him andasked "did you check with Coby?" He looked at you and said "I don't give my weapons to Coby.You know I like to take care of my own weapons" Shadow glared at him when he heard the impoliteness in his voice but youignore it "i'm sure it will pop up eventually" you say to him,he nods and walks out.You sigh and bend your head down,Shadow walks over and puts his hand on your shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze "I'll stand by you Talia,no matter what you do" he said softly.

When night fell,Shadow and you were on the night patrol,just you two.The moonlight was your only trail.You notice that when you're close to Shadow,you feel him caress you on your arm or side,it felt kinda uncomfortable with him doing that but said nothing.After about two hours,you see something shine in the moon light ahead of you "huh?" You ask and walk over to it,Shadow followed.You walk over and look and see it's Morbrid's axe. "Morbrid's Axe?!" You exclaimed,surprise.Shadow gave you a raised eyebrow "hpw do you know it's his?" He asked,you pick it up and show him the sign on the side of the blade:A black,gothic 'M.' "This is Morbid's sign,he marks this on all his weapons" you explained "but what's it doing out here?" You ask.Shadow frowned then walked infront of you "go back to HQ.I'm going up ahead to see something" he said,you were about to protest but Shadow gave you a look that stopped you right there and nodded "be careful Shadow" you say to him in a soft tone,he smiled slightly and hugged you and then let go and he skated off and you walk back to HQ.

SHADOW'S POV
You skated as fast you could through the field,you had a hunch that Morbrid was the turncoat and you were going to find out.After reading many maps,you knew where Roxa's...NO...Talia's castle was..."It will be her castle after we take Roxas down" you think as you see the castle come into view.You silently skated slower as you come closer.You hide in a tall oak tree closest to the castle and stay there when you see a hyena shape figure walking out from behind the castle.You skate silently at him and you tackle him in the back.You and the person fight but you have the upper hand and you have the hyena by the throat within two minutes.The moonlight washes over you both and you the black spotted blue fur of Morbrid,you growl."I knew it" you say,Morbrid looks at you "WHAT?" He asked in a raspy voice,he makes choking sounds as you tighten your hand around his throat."I should just kill you now and right here but Talia and the rest of the resistance will want to know their turncoat is" you said coldly and with disgust,Morbrid just looks at you with surprise but you take no notice of it and you skate back to HQ.

TALIA'S POV
You sat on your chair that you used to consoul others with.You tap your fingers on the arms in a nervous rythem when you hear people talking outside of the room you're in and suddenly,Shadow came in dragging Morbrid and with everyone following him,you look down at them.Shadow threw Morbrid in front of your chair and said "I believe we found our turncoat" he said simply,everyone around him gasps,you stare down at Morbrod who was rubbing his head. "Morbrid....Is this true?" You ask,he shook his head frantically and said "of course not princess" he said but Shadow stepped up and said threatenly"then why did I find you coming out of the Roxas' castle?" Everyone in the room gasps but just look shocked,suddenly a sinking feeling was inside you. "I was there chasing off some soldiers who were crossing" he said while everyone was mumbling,Shadow glared and walked next to your chair where you put Morbrid's axe "then why did I find THIS out?" He asked showing him his axe,Morbrid looked shocked "I...I....Was looking for it this morning,you know that" he announced,Shadow glared "really? I wonder...." He said,he looked at you and you nodded "Morbrid! You're under arrest!" You announced as you stood up "WHAT?! YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY BELIEVE HIM?! He yelled,shocked "I was with Shadow when he found your axe" you said in an emotionless voice.Before he could say anything else,Liliana grabs him and says "to the jail with you" she growled and dragged him away.You just watched with an emotionless look but inside,you were devasted.

SHADOW'S POV...
It was few hours after Talia send Morbrid to the dungeons and everyone was was asleep now you on the other hand,were walking down the halls,doing your own personal patrol when suddenly,you heard what sounded like crying.You turn to where you hear it and see you were infront of Talia's room.You walked in and saw Talia lying on her bed,hugging her pillow and burrying her face in it. "Talia..." You said,she looked up and saw her eyes were filled with tears and running down her face like waterfalls.She sat up "Shadow!" She said.You walked up to her bed and sat down "what's wrong?" You asked,she didn't make eye contack with you "it's nothing" she said "I've been hear longer to know when you're happy,upset,or in pain.What's wrong?" You said.She began crying harder and suddenly you find her clutching onto you,burrying her face into your chest fur "I just don't know how to go on like this" she said through your chest fur,you put you hand under her chin and make her look at you "what do you mean? We found the turncoat and now we don't have to worry anymore" you said,she kept her face in you chest "then why does it feel like a victory?" She asked pitifully and continue to cry.You kept quiet and began to rub her back gently and you both layed down on her bed with your arms wrapped around her and your head resting on hers while she clutched you arms and her head buried in your chest fur.
