Welcome to Clover Hills Public High School, where almost every day, you could experience a thrilling sensation as if you had waltz into a Red Carpet event!

No, seriously.

Every goddamned morning, cheerleaders and preppy, trashy girls alike in the school screamed, shrieked and drooled so hard that even Orlando Bloom would be absolutely baffled as to why the girls were acting as such to another human being - and not him.

Yes. A human being. It's not even the new Gucci bag they obsessed about all day and all night. It's a human being.

A certain 'bad boy' in school called Brandon Compton turned the girls in this school in fruitless, mindless zombies who wanted him to get in their panties more than anything. Knowing Brandon Compton, he didn't decline when a certain girl literally throw herself to him.

That morning was the same.

I stood in front of my locker, gathering my books for my algebra class. I was never afraid of math like any other students. Although, history class was another story...

When I slammed my blue locker door shut, the usual routine of shrieking girls started like wildfire. "Hi Brandon!" someone squealed. And as usual...he ignored them...

...Wait, he ignored them?

I turned to look, and made a mistake by catching his blue eyes. Striding down the hallway as if he owns the school. His black hair was tousled and messy, giving him a slightly rugged look. I turned away from him with ease.

He rarely stayed in school for more than 20 minutes. To be frankly honest, he was loaded as hell, and I see no reason why he wanted - out of the blue - to suddenly go to Clover Hills High School. Out of the blue...as in he literally announced it via the media.

When I started to walk towards my class, I could've sworn that he was still staring intently towards me. Nevermind about that though. I was never really fond of Brandon and his shrieking, drooling groupies.

"Have you heard about Brandon Compton?" my best friend, Amber Riddle asked. We were walking towards the entrance gate by the end of the day. I was completely exhausted. In fact, I was so exhausted I just might collapse in the middle of the sidewalk thingy.

"He finally got expelled?" I asked, my hopes jumped and flew 20 feet high.

"No," Amber replied, looking confused. My 20 feet hopes plummets down to earth again. "He didn't attend school for those 2 weeks because he was too busy with his father's business. Apparently, Compton Industries lost three-hundred and fifty million dollars a month ago."

I don't care, I thought instantly.

When we parted ways, I went straight to the local deli and put on my dark green vest with a button that reads, "My name is Samantha Bennett."

Welcome to my life - an orphan who lives with an abusive alcoholic, worked in a local deli wearing a puke-colored vest. No wonder we're on the brink of bankruptcy.
