I Woke Up Next To A Half-Naked Bad Boy in School [07] And He Suddenly Made Me His Personal Slave?!

It's a filler chapter, I promise the next one would be more interesting. Brandon made a sudden decision to go to Manhattan on that Friday night, to Samantha's excitement.

"Morning," I said to the back of two people's head. Amber’s strawberry blond hair was tied up in a messy knot. And Danny looked as if he saw a ghost when he turned around and saw me...

You couldn't really blame him.

I had such a trouble sleeping last night - much to Brandon's satisfaction. I swore that dude had some serious sadistic issues. I ended up sleeping in the bathtub after all. It was a very huge mistake.

The first thing that greeted me in the morning was a huge headache and muscle pain.

Danny flung his arms around me, much to Amber's disapproval. "I wanted to hug her first!" she whined.

Danny just held on to me tighter, sticking out his tongue towards Amber. I giggled and patted his shoulder. "Where the hell were you yesterday?!" he asked. "You never skipped school without telling us first!"

"Danny. Daniel. I've been abducted to live as a servant slash maid slash dog slash slave to the most popular, rich, assholic of a bad boy in school that goes by the name Brandon Compton. I'm sure you've heard of him," I said...if I had enough guts to do so. Who the hell would believe me?
And abducted was such a strong word...at least he was kind enough to help me and I owe him my life. But I didn't want to be scooping up puppy poo for my entire life either.

Not like I've got a choice anyway.

"Are you okay?" Amber asked, pushing Danny aside and giving me a half-hug. "One of these days I'm going to have to give you a cell phone," she said seriously. I didn't need a cell phone, nor do I want one.

Amber had enough troubles in her life already, I didn't want to pressure her on. She was a very great friend; a great person overall! Even when her parents were splitting up, she had her chin held high and always defended her friends.

Which consisted of Danny and me...only.

We were not exactly the most popular kids in school. We weren't social butterflies either, even though Amber had such a big family fortune in her palm.

"I'm fine," I replied, smiling. "Something just came up yesterday," I continued, and before they could asked what was the big deal, I changed the subject. "I heard Mrs. Lucas' in labor," I said. "So who do you reckon our substitute would be for chemistry?"

I immediately regretted my excitement of getting a new teacher when I sat in the actual class.

"Mr. Thornton," Amber said, waving her arm around. Danny and I shot distressed glances, begging that somehow, Mr. Thornton ignored Amber...but he didn't. The only reason we were taking stupid chemistry was because Amber had this unconditional love for it.

"I don't understand, I answered this correctly...unless you have some other theory about why plasma doesn't have a definite shape, but why did I got zero marks for it?"

The thing I liked about class that day was the questions sheet that Mr. Thornton gave us was so ridiculously easy. I'd never seen the students in such a good, relaxed mood in chemistry lesson in my entire life!

"Ah, my mistake Miss Riddle," he said, adjusting his Harry-Potter-like glasses. "Ah, yes, I definitely made a mistake there."

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Danny was suppressing his laughter...or anger. "Ah, I forgot my pen."

"No, that's okay, I have it somewhere around here!" Danny interrupted, taking out a red pen and handing it to Mr. Thornton. "Ah, thank you."

Okay, I was not going to giggle I swear!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I am sick of Ahs!" Danny said by the end of the day. Chemistry was the only class we got together. I laughed, but Amber looked as if she could kill. "I like Mr. Thornton," she said. Danny and I laughed again.

"Ah, I see Miss Riddle," I mocked and Danny snickered. Amber rolled her brown eyes lazily.

"Ah, look who's standing alone there," Danny said seriously, I giggled again but followed his gaze anyway.

Brandon? What was he doing leaning against the school's...gate?

"Ugh, not him again. I'm surprised that there's no one screaming or fainting or kissing his ass right now," Amber said, cocking her eyebrow. Brandon's head turned, his eyes boring into mine.

Oh no.

He was NOT going to humiliate me in front of my friends!

The more close we got to the gate, the more tempting it was for me to run back into the school and hide under a desk or something. When we got close enough, he stopped me by the arm. I could literally felt the shock expression of Amber and Danny.

I didn't care what Brandon was going to do. He could kill me for all I care.

"We're going to Manhattan tonight; get your ass in my car right now."

Manhattan?

Involuntarily, I grinned like an idiot. He gave an annoyed noise and walked away to a black Sedan. "You guys go ahead," I said. "I forgot some notes in my locker."

Reluctantly deciding not to pry at the moment, they left. When they got far enough, I entered the car and buckled up. "Why Manhattan?"

He didn't say anything, much to my annoyance.
