I Woke Up Next To A Half-Naked Bad Boy in School [23] And He Suddenly Made Me His Personal Slave?!
It's a filler chapter, which was supposed to be happy and show how caring Brandon could be...but instead, Samantha felt a bit deflated when she finally got it in her head that Brandon was too much of a busy guy to be involved in any relationship with her.Chinese often lives longer than us, so their food must consist of healthy ingredients. Er, we ordered Chinese take-out food. Brandon excused himself and said that he already had his dinner at a hotel, and so he went upstairs deep in his thought.
Trust me, ordering something from so far away was a bit of a hassle. First, they didn't know where your exact address was (even we didn't until we found a letter from a bank addressed to this household) and we had to pay loads just for Kung Pao Chicken and something that was called Moo Goo Gai Pan.
Oh well, at least we had our food.
"Samantha, come here for a second," Brandon said, leaning against his doorframe with his arms crossed. He was back in his normal, 'you're-still-my-slave' mode.
Fine, maybe slave was too strong of a word, but still. He surely orders me around like one. "Why?" I asked, a towel around my neck. I was going to take a shower since Andrea was finished with it. She went straight to bed after that from exhaustion. We cleaned the kitchen so much that it was practically sparkling.
"Just come."
I walked into his room and shut the door. "What's up?" I asked, standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. He looked at me oddly and chuckled. "What do you mean what's up, idiot? I haven't seen you all day," he said, running his fingers through his hair with his eyes closed.
Apart from my exhaustion of running around the house doing chores all day, I felt my heart flutter in happiness. "I'm sorry that I have to go all day long," he said, not even looking up or smiling. We kissed, no big deal, I thought. But somehow, I was sure that his defense was intact...it was as if there was a brick wall around him that no one could go through.
I didn't think we were couples at all. I still thought that he was messing around with me, teasing me for his own amusement.
"That's okay," I said a tad too cheerfully. "Tell you what, I'll make it up to you tomorrow."
My face lit up by the sudden thought. "I'll bring you somewhere nice for dinner tomorrow night," he said, winking. I felt myself slowly relax. Right, he wasn't the same person who I wanted to run from every time I see him. God, that guy should really smile more often in school.
I blushed, looking down towards my feet.
And that night, it happened again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I've developed feelings for the guy, it wasn't as terrible as it was the first time when I knew the first thing that I saw when I woke up was him. That time, it freaked the hell out of me. The second time, I felt the same thing too.
But surprisingly enough, not as shocking as I did the first time.
I was still pondering on how I ended up on his bed. We talked all night long in each other's arm, and I must have dozed off. I seriously hoped that I didn't fell asleep whilst I was listening to one of his stories or anything - that would be bad.
When I opened my eyes groggily, I could see him looking towards his phone, but then he threw it next to his pillow and slept again. I was too lazy and tired to greet him, let alone wake up and get ready for breakfast.
As soon as I had half of my energy back, I sat up straight on the bed and saw Brandon coming out of the shower, a towel around his waist and a fucking BlackBerry in his hand! I swear to god I wanted to chuck that thing out the window.
...No, not the towel. The BlackBerry.
...Or maybe...
No! Focus!
On what?
My eyes wandered towards his muscles--
Stop it, Sam. Just...stop it.
"You're awake," he said, obviously surprised. "You look exhausted when you went to sleep. I woke you up earlier, but no matter how hard I shook your shoulders you kept on snoring."
I blushed harder. I didn't snore! "Would you mind putting something decent on, please?" I said, throwing the covers over my head when I heard him chuckle. "Oh yeah, I'm supposed to accompany you to lunch in town with my mom," he said, smiling.
Thank god! If he was there, at least I didn't felt as self-conscious and nervous as I--
"But since my father and his lawyer was in town nearby..." he trailed off, looking at me expectantly. "You'll be fine with her won't you?" he asked innocently. Of course he didn't know what I was really feeling, I didn't tell him.
I was not planning to anyway.
"I...um," I muttered. "Sure. We get along just fine!" I lied through my gritted teeth. It would be fine. I was probably deluded all of this time. Maybe underneath Rachel's icy exterior lies a very sophisticated and kind woman.
But still...I'd better choose my outfit carefully this time. I swore I saw her staring at a thread sticking a bit on the hem of my shirt the last time as if that little thread would start to strangle her.
"Hey Brandon!" I said, brightening up and jumping to the edge of the bed. But he was so concentrating on his phone that I didn't think he heard me. I didn't even think that he was aware of me still sitting in the room.
This really wasn't how I imagined my first relationship where I really cared and liked the guy would be.
