“ Mom where are you?” a six year old me said.

But there was no answer.

“ Mom!”

Then all of a sudden I heard glass break and I ran down stairs.

When I got there I saw my moms lifeless body lying on the floor.

“NO!” I started to cry

I was so mad that the pot with my mom’s favorite plant blew up. And now there was dirt on the floor.

I was wondering if I did that but I didn’t care I all I knew was I was alone, sad, mad, and was still crying.

I woke up, my face was all wet and when I looked around the room I saw boxes. My face was wet because I was crying in my sleep again. Like always. And there were boxes in my room because we were moving. And by we I meant Me, Brianna, and Kimmy. No they are not my sisters but my friends. Bri is a witch like me. And Kimmy is our whitelighter, it is like a guardian angel, who watches over witches. Kimmy found me the day I lost my grandma to a demon, like my mom. She told me I was a witch and i always knew I was different. That day Kimmy became my whitelighter. Then when I was 16 I was fighting a demon and then a girl with brown hair * Bri* came in and killed it. She told us she knew what we were and that she was a witch with no family. We took her in and she and Kimmy became my family and I always loved them, like they were family. And that day Kimmy became Bri’s whitelighter to. Kimmy likes a mother to me and Bri is like an annoying sister that you always have to love and you do. So now I am 19 risking my life everyday with to other girls and I have to move from the house that is the only thing left that is part of my family. I looked at the boxes again and knew I would never see this house again. The one I grew up in, the one my mom die in, the one my grandma die in, the one Kimmy found me crying in and saved me, the one Bri found us in and moved in, and the one I knew I would die in like many of the women in my family. I cleaned my face and put my black-rimmed glasses on. I walked into the hall were there was more boxes and I smelted… pancakes! And I knew Kimmy was making breakfast and she was only making my favorite kind of breakfast because I was the one who was taken this move the hardest. I walked into the kitchen and saw Bri and Kim eating. I sat down with them.

Kim- well good afternoon.

Maya- yeah good afternoon to you to.

Bri- hey, listen Kim said we can use our powers this week

Kim- yeah I thought you deserved it.

Maya- thanks Kimmy, look I am sorry I haven’t been talking to you at all this week. I just didn’t want to move.

Kim- no its okay I understand.

Maya-thanks

I said as I gave her a hug. When were done eating Kim was outside and looking at the moving truck. Then she did something with her hands and all of our stuff was in the moving truck.

Kim- it’s a whitelighter thing

She said as she turned around

Kim- you can drive the truck if you want and I will drive your car and Bri hers

Maya- okay Kim stop being so nice be like you always are please, I got over moving to a small town.

Kim- okay look I am really sorry I hope you know that you are like a sister to me.

Maya- I know

I said as she got in my car and Bri started to walk out.

Bri- here it’s your house be the last to leave

She said as she looked into my eyes and saw I was about to cry

Bri- it will be okay

She said as she hugged me.

Maya- I know

I said as I walked into my house and up to my attic and saw my book of everything a witch need I grabbed it and walked out of the house and into the moving truck. When I got the car got started I cried a little.

Maya- bye mom, grams, and house.

Then I was off as we drove into a town all I saw was trees, and trees and trees, trees, trees… and MORE TREES. Why did we have to move from L.A. to a small town I will never know? Then I saw a sign that said WELCOME TO…

LA PUSH.
