I Woke Up Next To A Half-Naked Bad Boy in School [29] And He Suddenly Made Me His Personal Slave?!

It's not really an important chapter, but it's needed in order for the plot to advance a bit. Early in the morning, Brandon announced that they would be leaving Winnipeg that day, much to Samantha's delight.

The morning view that greeted me as soon as I woke up repulsed me.

Originally, that was what I thought.

I seriously had issues against Brandon using his phone so early in the morning. Something about it was just too annoying. For one thing, he completely ignored anyone who tried to talk to him when his phone was out. He fixed his attention on the phone and only the phone. He might as well marry the damn thing.

But he was not talking, I realized. His fingers weren't even typing any business terms that I often did not understand. Instead, he was playing a game on his iPhone, and I suddenly wanted to laugh in delight. "Oh my god, am I dreaming?" I whispered. He jumped slightly and turned off whatever game he was playing. He smiled sarcastically towards me and said, "Yeah, good morning to you too."

I playfully pouted and replied, "Oh! Don't stop playing because of me."

"It's not a miracle," he said, his brows furrowing. I stuck out my tongue and sat up drowsily. "By the way, We're going back to Michigan today."

I love him.

"Oh my god! Oh...my...god..." I wheezed and flung my arms around him. No more parties! No more organizing! No more sugar flowers! And the best of all, no more Rachel! Everything started to look a little less like a dungeon.

"Although, we may have to stop somewhere," he said, trying to pry away from my death hug. "I'm not in the mood to drive for too long, and if I let you drive who knows what you'll might crash into."

"I'm not that bad of a driver," I protested, and he let out a laugh. Okay now, that was just mean. "And you expect me to believe that?"

Note to self: never let Brandon Compton see you drive. Ever.

"Can I borrow your phone?" I asked. He tossed me his phone without saying a word, oddly, and he went up to go to the bathroom after that. I dialed Amber's number. I missed her so much, I felt like arranging a party for just my besties.

...That...was not a bad idea.

"Ambs!" I squealed. "Hi!"

"Hey there to you too Sam!" Amber sang. She was always the morning person. I admired that trait of hers. I couldn't wake up early in the morning without feeling like I should go back to sleep. In fact, once I was so lazy to get out of bed that I turned around and thrashed about repeatedly...until I fell off the bed.

And while I was on the floor, I fell asleep again.

"I missed talking to you," she sighed dramatically. "I thought...I thought you don't want to be friends with me, ME! The pretty, hot, amazing, awesome, sexy, cute Amber Rebecca Riddle!" she exclaimed and sniffled.

"Oh wow, I should win an Emmy for that."

I rolled my eyes. Despite the fact that she could wake up early in the morning with no problems, she was hyper. All the way to the afternoon. "Hey listen, I'm going to go home today!" I said, Brandon re-appearing into the room.

Home.

Huh. That sounded a bit...I didn't know what it sounded like, but it sure gave me goosebumps. And when I caught Brandon's eyes, I could tell that he was thinking the same thing too. He gave a small smile and walked over towards me.

"SERIOUSLY?!" Amber voice boomed out of the small phone speakers. "We should totally meet up somewhere! I'll call Danny!" she screamed the last part excitedly. I beamed and said, "Totally!"

"How about that sleepover eh?" Amber said teasingly. "You'd think Brandon C would give you the thumbs up?"

I shot a glance towards Brandon, who was messing around with my hair. I frowned and swatted his hand away. "I...err, Danny don't even know about...you know, us yet."

Maybe I shouldn't use the word 'us' in a sentence to Amber. That girl's imagination could run as wild as it could get. "You kissed and made up?!"

"What? No!" I said, jumping out of bed and sticking out my tongue towards the Brandon, who was sitting casually on the bed...apparently, he was amused too. I shut the bathroom door behind me and said, "We were just dating then okay? Just a friendly date, he agreed to that too."

Friendly, but a horrible date.

"You know," I said, almost in a whisper. "Like the time me and Danny went out on our first date," I explained. "It was just a friendly, hanging out thing...and we became the best of friends after that!"

My date with Danny was horrible too.

Was there something undateable about me?

"But you're saying that you don't like him...at all?"

"Amber!" I exclaimed. "I don't don't like him," I said, biting my bottom lip. "I don't know what to feel anymore."

"I bet if he's just another guy, stripped down from his title as a billionaire and stripped from his seriousness with business...you would probably be doing it with him."

"Doing what?" I said, then realized I shouldn't have asked. "I like him, Amber," I forced myself to say. Trust me, it was harder than it sound. It was like that sentence had been stuck at the bottom of my throat, threatening to get out and be heard.

"I really do."

That sentence, however, tasted foreign in my mouth. I didn't thought of it before, I didn't even realized it before...but when I've finally said it out loud, I discovered that it was true. And it freaked me out. This was not really just a crush anymore.

This felt like something else.

"But we're not from the same class," I said, half-jokingly. "And I need to go, I'll call you when I'll arrive!"

I walked out of the bathroom with my knees weak for a reason that I couldn't understand.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To be brutally honest, I thought saying goodbye to Rachel was a waste of time. Brandon was completely ignored by her, and when I said that it was nice of her to let me stay here, she just rolled her eyes and glared...before going back to her cigarette.

"Baa, baa black sheep have you any wool?" I sang. We were already in the car for half an hour, and Brandon banned me from hearing any songs since I set the song 'What Can I Do' by The Corrs on repeat...over and over and over and...well, you get the point.

"What the hell are you singing?" Brandon asked, rolling his eyes. "A nursery rhyme, silly!" I replied. "Yes sir, yes sir three bags full!" I continued, smirking when I saw Brandon lips twitched. "One for the master and one for the..."

Fuck, I forgot the song.

Brandon looked smug, and that pissed me off.

"One for the master and one for the ogre...one for the little...spoon who lives down the...lane?"

Wait, wasn't the spoon from the other nursery rhyme about the cow jumping over the moon?

Putting on a deadpan face, he said, "I would pity your kids."

"Yeah well, nursery rhymes are overrated anyway," I said, making a 'hmph' sound and slumping back against my seat as he snickered and took out his vibrating phone. "No texting while driving," I warned him, but he completely ignored me.

See what I told you about marrying his phone?

"Brandon, I'm serious!" I whined, but he still ignored me as his thumb started to scroll the message down. "We're on the brink of bankruptcy and they're still hosting that stupid family day event?" he spat. I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "You actually go to those things?"

I really couldn't imagine Brandon smiling politely and giving comments about the weather to his staff's spouse. "No," he replied curtly. "But they're using the 3 percent of the company's account. The board of directors had agreed to this just because it is 'an annual event'. Bunch of dumbasses. There won't be any 'annual event' if they keep this up."

It was best if I didn't reply, I thought. I would probably add fuel to the fire.
